I don't give a fuck if you think I'm being rude. All I wanted was a movie that wasn't racist, wasn't sexist, made sense and had likeable characters who actually acted like human fucking beings. This movie should not be awarded anything. That's my opinion, and I don't fucking care what you think about it.

Looking for some stories?Well, that escalated quickly.
How is Dragons 2 racist!?!?!
Apparently because Drago had a slightly darker tone of skin than Hiccup and he was the bad guy.
He had the only Po C Voice Actor in the movie.
That's unfortunate.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I think it's because Drago - the villain - is the only character who looks remotely non-white (he could be white too, but he does have swarthy skin and dreadlocks), and he's voiced by the only non-white actor of the main cast. EDIT:
For me, though, I didn't mind the above that much. I did mind that Drago's character felt woefully underdeveloped and that the first half kind of dragged on, although everything that happened after Hiccup's mother showed up was pretty good.
(...I still wish The LEGO Movie had won instead, though.)

Saying the movie is sexist is even more silly. It'd be like calling The Lego Movie sexist because Wyldstyle didn't get to be the hero.

That's what I think, too. I was disappointed that Astrid was basically just a Hiccup-cheerleader and that Valka didn't get to play a role in the climax, but I think that's more a product of Hiccup getting all the character focus and development this time around than anything else.
And the first movie wasnt guilty of this?

Could you use "@Poster" instead of the arrow thingy? More than 3 Makes it INSANELY confusing.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. Then why do they provide it in the first place?
Geez, when I bumped the thread, I just wanted to give props to Dreamworks since this has been a long-time coming.
So you can point a few posts up. Two or three is easy to keep track of. More than that is an eyesore.
@Mort: I'm honestly disappointed that you'd ragequit the site over this movie winning a Golden Globe. I had enjoyed your insights on the other forums and your Disney Princess liveblog, and understand why you heavily dislike this movie. Hence it saddens me that you'd be this, well, immature about it.

The arrows? For posts that are just 2-3 posts ahead. If you want people to actually understand you, you have to help them out a bit.
EDIT:Ninja'd by Tuckers Creator, who explained it quite nicely.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How to Train Your Dragon 2 took the Annie for Best Animated Feature.
I'm pretty sure the Oscar is a lock now.
Dreamworks swept the Annies a week after they let their entire Northern California PDI office go. I hate this feeling of irony.
Aren't they rigged anyway?
The Annies are like the Oscars but much more low-class, and that's saying something.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!I loved this movie. And my one cent about how it ended up with a bunch of nominations is that there's a main character death in the movie. That's good for some pathos there.
Penguins of Madagascar wasn't even nominated.
