The visual novel is funny, but the anime is far too rushed to get much right. Twelve episodes is about right if you just want to adapt the common route and then one heroine route, but they're trying to do all five girls for some reason. To try to fit everything in, they cut out the actual jokes from a bunch of scenes and a bunch of Yuuji's lines. Worse, they also added in some content that comes from the short story prequel, making them even more pressed for time.
The fools, surely they've learned how to adapt VN's into anime by now without butchering them.
That requires spending money on them. And also understanding what people actually like about the story. Generally, I think anime fails at both points.
Did they preserve the universe hating Yuji?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerYou only find out that the universe hates Yuuji in Meikyuu. In Kajitsu all you know is that his family is dead.
Trying to adapt all the routes of VN in a single anime is such a retarded idea I almost lack words. Just pick one and commit to it!
It's a shame all the villains in Legend Of Korra turn into giant retards. Kuvira could have had some thought provoking things to say to go with her previously valid motives instead of "send them to the re-education camps," and "I am Hitler"
From what I heard, no villain sounds as awesome as Amon was.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. You heard right. Next to the pretty cool guy Amon we got the evil "I am become dark avatar" uncle and the mostly cool anarchist airbender. They even say in the show that the villains core ideologies are right but they take them to retarded extremes, so at least the writers are doing it on purpose, though that's not really any consolation.
Drawing in a different style,◊ trying not to make it look so anime. The face turned out ok, even underneath my shitty colouring technique. That left hand though, there's always something that looks fine while I'm drawing but as soon as I upload it somewhere looks like crap. And that stiff pose, gotta make it more dynamic.

I'm not sure if that's a girl...or a guy who dressed like one. And yeah, the pose does look a bit stiff.
Started watching Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.
Holy crap, the best school comedy I watched since Azumanga Daioh!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. The face is kind of androgynous, I guess, if you ignore the breasts and hips.
Yeah, that's probably the best show to come out in years. The manga's just as funny, and there's way more of it.

I was also talking about the hips and breasts; they look grabbable, for lack of a better term, but not quite enough to immediate to tell apart as a girl. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Definitely checking out the manga too, then!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Yer kidding? That's got to be at least a C cup.
The latest chapter's hilarious. Oh Chiyo and her antics.
Celebrating a fictional character's birthday.
I...I just...I just can't comprehend the concept. Why?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Because they've lost control of their lives?
Shlugo: Really, you should check out the VN if you were serious about that. Stay away from the anime.
d Roy: I see that kind of thing a lot. I feel vaguely embarrassed on that person's behalf so I try not to make fun of them. They'll realize what they've done on their own eventually.
Could be worse. Tooru Rikiishi from Ashita no Joe got a funeral in real life which was attended by several hundreds of fans when he died in the manga. Compared to that, people casually celebrating the birthdays of certain characters is not so embarrassing.
In anime community from my country, celebrating fictional chaacters became something of a normal thing. I once asked why they were doing it, and they just looked at me funny.
Blegh.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Arha: I got it installed already, just can't find the time to play it. I don't like reading VN in small chunks, so unless I have several hours it's no good.
Watched episode 6 of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun.
Oh my God, this is just so, so, good! Not only it has really unique sense of humor, where there are romantic moments, it's so adorable it hurts!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Doesn't it just make your kokoro go doki doki?
No kidding.
One grest thing about this series, at least for me, is just how easy to empathize with the characters and that really strengthens the humor.
Oh, and pretty much every character is enjoyable to at least some degree. My favorite has to be the main duo and Seo. The latter's romance (?) with Waka is just sweet in a strange sense.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I feel the same. Fireworks.
Watched up to ep 9 of Nozaki.
Wait a minute.
This long into season but no gratuitous fanservice?
Awesome! !

Grisaia isn't quite what I expected, I thought it'd be more of a parody. Or funnier at least, given screenshots I've seen.
