Yeah, you can't just run and gun, you have limited ammo and getting shot can reduce your HP quickly. There is regenerating health, but that's only with high vitality, and it's way too slow to be relied on in a firefight. Generally, the only reason you should distract or fight robots is when you need to get to a piece of the device, and even then, you should try and at least get the element of surprise in the case of a fight. The axe is a one-hit-kill, so if you can use it with minimal risk, that might be best.

It's very much an open-ended stealth game. It does have some issues, but I'm certainly having fun with it thus far.

[up]Yeah, the axe is a one-hit kill, but you have to be right next to the enemy to use it — and almost all of them have guns. Everything has its disadvantages; as with any good stealth game, risk management is going to be a major part of the strategy.

Tried it out. Dealing with even just a pair of enemies seems fairly difficult, at least to me; it seems I may not be strategizing well. The axe is perhaps a little bit too difficult to aim, I think; I admit I'm not much good at first person combat, but I usually don't find myself missing with melee weapons point blank this often. Considering the number of shotgun blasts a robot seems to be able to take before death, it seems firearms are more useful for forcing retreats than getting a kill.

The generated environments are nice so far and seem pretty natural. Open-ended is nice, but I can see where they'll need to add more of the planned enemies and mechanics in order to create variety, since the number of possible scenarios seems a bit limited right now (loot buildings, avoid that patrol of robots, grab that device fragment, avoid the balloon).

Overall, it seems to be shaping up nicely, but my skills are not improving particularly, other than food hoarding.

Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.
