Ils certainly proves that a horror film can be effective if it's done right.

Interestingly enough, I came across one review of the movie that pointed out Unfortunate Implications about the film. Namely, the movie portrays Romania as backwards, uncivilized, and savage, while France is proper and civilized. Then you have the fact that a group of children end up terrorizing the couple and killing them. Why? Because this is their idea of playtime. They could very well be the rowdy kids from Clementine's classroom. When you consider that the film may be based off of a true story, it can leave a bad taste in some people's mouths!

Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!
