My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic SPOILER TALK THREAD

Apparently Sony was interested in distributing it, but considering Hasbro is doing this with an in-house studio (Allspark Productions, I think it's called), I find it fishy that Sony would have emails on the creative end of things.

Now we just need to find more about the 100th episode other than that it will be a background pony focused episode.

Hmm, apparently Maud Pie has always wanted to go to the Gala.◊ We just got confirmation of an upcoming Gala episode, and we know Fluttershy at least is bringing a guest. Maybe Pinkie will bring Maud as her plus one?

We know Maud will return in Season 5 in SOME way. Maybe this is the episode.

Didn't they say that she would appear with the rest of the Pie family?

I heard she's show up on a Heart's Warming episode.

But if Applebloom is visited by Luna◊ next episode, does that mean the episode isn't about her getting her cutie mark? But the MLP facebook page hinted about her cutie mark, but that could just be because the episode is about her worrying about it. But if she doesn't get her cutie mark tomorrow when will she and how much will I have to freak out about it in the mean time?

About who Fluttershy's friend is, what if it's the Smooze? She's the one who befriends all the weird creatures that other ponies think are gross or scary (including Discord himself). And the reason we see Discord being friendly with it is because he's trying to prove to Fluttershy that he can befriend the Smooze along with her (since the synopsis mentioned him going out of his way to show that he's NOT bothered by her bringing a different friend to the Gala).

I could be forgetting something from that teaser clip that would disprove that idea, though, since it's been awhile since I've seen it.

Pretty sure the Smooze is Discord's friend.

Or maybe his son, that would make sense given Discord.

If the Smooze is Discord's son, then I don't wanna know how that's possible.

Discord can do and make whatever the heck he wants, anything is possible for him.

I'm pretty sure that in the animatic from awhile back the Smooze was specifically introduced as Discord's guest.

Nightmare Star is probably a cooler name than Daymare Sun, but it's not as exact.

Especially if it actually IS Luna's nightmare, which she probably has during the day, because she only comes out at night, when she walks through other ponies' dreams...

I hope that whatever motivates this change is Character Development for Celestia and isn't just a carbon copy of Luna's fall. I know plot wise it's unlikely to be the same simply because the Elements of Harmony are either in her hooves (as the card art implies) or still in the Tree of Harmony). I can see Celestia snapping under the constant stress she's under as opposed to getting jealous and decides that it would be easier to just rule by fiat rather than comprimise with the other princesses.

Celestia turning evil should take a two-parter.

Though I still can't believe that the highest pony of greatest good would ACTUALLY turn evil.

What message does it send to little girls if you can't even trust your benevolent pony god-queen to be your friend?

Yeah I just hope Celestia turns into a god-mode version of Lesson Zero Twilight. More irrational and really stressed out than evil.

Mmmm, I'm betting this is the "Luna has a nightmare" episode that was rumored way back during the SDCC panel. I can't see this tying in to the Cutie Mark Magic theme.

I'm hyped either way.

My guess is that's Luna's nightmare too, although I wouldn't rule out Celestia being magically corrupted in some manner or her mentally snapping. If it is Luna's nightmare, then that would be yet another dark fan theory (the Tyrantlestia meme) being used as an in-universe nightmare for a character and thus implied to be something that wouldn't happen in the "real life" of the show, like they did with "Bloom and Gloom". (ex. things like "what if you got a cutie mark you don't like?")
