It's weird why there are a lot of complaints about Kirito from people that most probably doesn't watch Btooom! which has what is turning out to be a character that represents what they are complaining about as the MC.

The difference being in Kirito's case, even in the real world the kid has things going for him. Compare THAT with what we have in this show (who while brilliant is pretty much a lazy and no-good jerk, and he KNOWS this). The lack of girls gravitating to him like iron fillings to a magnet is another.
so a NEET vs a guy who looks like he belongs to the commando group in Predator. this will be interesting

Right now, the only reason why I'm still watching this show is cause the main lead is (over) protective of his middle-aged side kick.
