I can admire a couple films of the type I've seen from an artistic perspective.
But not Cannibal Ferox. That movie was beyond stupid.

There was Genre Throwback to these a few years ago called Welcome to the Jungle.
No idea if it's any good.

I got addicted to these Amazon Cannibal movies due to the influence of one Mr. Brad Jones Esquire. I've seen Cannibal Holocaust and Man From Deep River so far, next I'll watch Cannibal Ferox and Massacre At Dinosaur Valley.
These films are jam packed with animal cruelty, but that's probably not why I like them for obvious reasons. Cannibal Holocaust I adored for Robert Kerman's immortal performance as an anthropologist so ethical that he makes Indiana Jones look like a grave robbing hack, and Man From Deep River ended up being one of those "Better Love Story Than Twilight" situations in the case of "Better Anti-Imperialism Movie Than Avatar" as a benchmark.
Why is it that these Amazon Cannibal movies respect my intelligence when trying to rip off Dances With Wolves decades before Dances With Wolves was even made? That's more than Avatar and preachy "liberal" (I don't even know what that word means anymore since in Australia the word is used for the conservative party) movies like Ferngully with environmental messages about green policy and tolerance that just don't wash as well when they're anti-human or treat white people like they're the enemy 100% of the time.
I'd like to get people's thoughts on these movies if anybody else has seen them because I'm wondering if I've epically missed the point of these films and seen beauty where others only see animal slaughter laden sleaze.
