Saw the first series. Not sure about the new one though.
Been waiting patiently for this second season...
I don't know what god has seen fit to smile upon us with the rays of his gleaming teeth, but I'm not about to look this gift horse in the mouth. It's not the sequel we deserve, but it's the one we need right now.
Are we sure it is a sequel? It looks more like a remake then anything. Either way I am reserving judgement until it starts.
Word on the street says 'sequel', and there are plenty of LN volumes left to draw from. There's always room for doubt, certainly, but I'm more confidant about it that I am about, say, Robotics;Notes*.
Well I am mostly questioning whether it is a sequel or remake because the room looks different as do the character designs to an extent.
In that case, it's possible. I wouldn't call it a bad thing, either; the story wouldn't be any less heart-warming the second time around, and would really only suffer if they lose part of its madcap charm without discovering another magic ingredient to plug the gap with.
Another explanation is that it reflects the Art Evolution in the volumes themselves, although I'm iffy on that. Do you have a link to the PV?
yeah they change the staff and studio so everything look different. aside from 2 VA returning character have same voice.
and yes i can confirm you this is sequel. they have LN character that S1 doesn't have. so pretty sure they will continue the story.

That average non loli girl... Was that Kurimu?!
On that picture from second season I meant.

She was the loli.
I'm not seeing a huge difference in the character designs, except maybe the eyes are smaller? It's hard to tell at that resolution and angle.
I'm interested in how the new seiyuu choices pan out; Iori Nomizu seems to have done mostly minor roles, whereas Mina inexplicably redirects to Multiple Demographic Appeal. They were cast together previously in Maken Ki , so there might be some connection there (but probably not).
which one you talking about?
biggest different that i can think of from art perspective is that it darker and more colorful compare to wash out S1. you can easily notice that the skin color is more "pinkish" compare to S1 which is outright white
other than that it more detail i guess
So the 'art change' is nothing more than another studio and a bigger budget. Good to know.
Okay, yeah, I can see the change in the art style.

as expected. Minatsu hair is MUCH smaller.
will miss her big twintail
And Kurimu's hair is darker now.
well the art in general is darker than S1 really
Looks rounder.
x2
Well yeah but everyone else's hair color is still the same. Hers has gone from the pink of the original to a more reddish color. And that is without getting into how different Chizuru looks now.
They don't look that much different to me. Course, this is why I always get yelled at when girls ask me how their hair looks.
official S2 name is "Seitokai No Ichizon: LV 2"
And the first episode finally came out.
Background of Ken time!
As in an expansion of the background we got for him last season?
Yeah. I was expecting more with the student council, not his rival, so to speak.
Mina as Chizuru & Iori Nomizu as Mafuyu seem good, but just off enough from their original voice actors that I can catch it. Mafuyu not as much as Chizuru though.
If I talk about this show, I'll start gushing and never stop.
