Anime/Psycho-pass

Okay, so I looked around and I'm pretty sure that this series doesn't have its own forum topic. So anyways, what are you impressions based on the pv? If you didn't see it, it's here.

Actual footage? About time. Though I can see why they held off on showing it; the characters definitely look a bit odd. Backgrounds are nice, though

This definitely doesn't have the budget Guilty Crown did. Or maybe it does, and they're just spending it on the backgrounds and actual good writing.

Considering the main artist is the woman who writes Katekyo Hitman Reborn, it is pretty odd to look at.

The only character that looks weird to me is the main chick. Her eyes are kinda freaky.

She looks quite innocent and cute.......which just means that Urobutcher is gonna run her through the grinder big time.

Also, the way the police and guns work kind of reminds me of Judge Dredd. All they need now is to have one of them yell "I AM THE LAW!"

Girls in suits, long, lascivious shots of exotic firearms... yep, this is an Urobuchi anime all right.

It's also Part Katekyo Hitman Reborn, since that did that with female Mafia members in the series long before Fate Zero was even concieved of.

Oh, and the artist for this does that series, too.

Meaning more Pretty Boy's then usual for a Urobuchi anime.

Well, he did mention he wanted to do BL at some point...

Didn't he done it already in FZ already? twice?

Iskander and Waver & Giles and Ryuunosuke were more in the nature of Bromances than full on BL (though given speculation about the historical Alexander and Hephaestion it probably wouldn't be too hard to make the jump to full on Rider/Waver).

Needlessly flashy and technologically superflous guns, cyber-punk noir with a hint of mind-fuck conspiracy, and it's written by Gen Urobuchi? Shit yes. Sign me the fuck up.

Also, what the fuck is up with those guns? They can't be standard issue, even in the future. There's gotta be something special about them (aside from that they glow blue and have the most retardedly cool and impractical design ever).

They are special, they won't fire unless the gun measures above a certain amount of criminal intent or something. Also they fire plasma.

Sorry, but I doubt Shinya's going to be anything like Gilgamesh .

Ah, so that's what they mean by "a person's mind can be instantly and numerically quantified". Good to know.

I will pay someone actually money to see to it that the lines "I AM THE LAW!" and "YOU BETRAYED! THE LAW!" make it into the dub.

Nothing really attracts my attention about the trailer. I can't even say it looks particularly unique.

The writing will have to prove itself on it's own merits.

Dude, it's Gen. Since when has he disappointed? Well, okay, PMMM was a little rushed, but that wasn't exactly his fault, now was it?

I think it's the fact that he's collaborating with a mangaka known for her arc fatigue.

She doing the character designs, not the story. Butcher's riding it solo story-wise.
