Mind enlightening the stone age Pokemon fan what the overall plan is from now on?
For now, it's just going through Unova, taking the Gym challenge for those who wish to, and other stuff for those who want to do something less generic. No doubt something a bit more interesting (specifics are TBD, of course) will happen at some point, but for now, we're keeping it simple.
...Is there anyone else here?
I believe the last time I posted was when Garo was evolving.
Know thyself, and know thy enemy.Evolve!
Biomech brought to my attention the need for an overarching plot to bring us all together. And it is something we need; as hard as it is to keep this going now, it'll only be harder down the road if we don't have something to tie us all together.
Now, that said, I also want to stay true to Luke's original intentions: a relatively down-to-earth RP. No "chosen one" or anything that marks us as "special".
However, we can still pull something off if it's a plot that can be solved with teamwork, skill, and several of the luckiest normal people alive. That is our goal, at least from a meta standpoint.
Luckily, we don't have to decide on something right now. We have plenty of time to throw ideas around. But we should definitely start thinking about it.
I'll throw the first thing in:
How about we have everyone meet everyone at like say a safari contest or a berry picking contest- then at least we'll have a coherent group thats alot easier to manage when we want to do something.
How about the PWT? It's... kind of close. And no doubt it's going to be popular, if we're doing this just before the events of B2/W2.
That works, if everyone else is fine with it.
Whats pwt?
Pokemon World Tournament, in Driftveil. If we say it's only just opening, it shouldn't be too terribly spoilery.
can't we all meet somewhere that entails casual chat.
I wouldn't mind doing a timeskip then having everyone meet at a fishing competition the next day.

Oh. Hey everyone. How's this RP going?
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.Struggling, but hopefully on the way toward coming BACK! TO LIFE!
But we could really use your help/posts/availability if we're going to bring this back.
You know what is needed now? A big post hinting that Plot is about to run over our trainers unless they get their act together.
Also the vampiric one might decide to post anytime soon and not let me hang in limbo.
You know what, how about we just skip over the rest of the scene and have Michael and Sora conveniently get lost in the exact same way as the others?
Know thyself, and know thy enemy.Go for it
You know... I actually did have a plot idea that could have worked, but it specifically omitted Unova. It was originally for a fangame I dropped the idea for:
Kanto
It's just a year after the events of R/S/E. Team Rocket's supposedly down, Teams Magma and Aqua have changed their ways... Things are looking peaceful. At least, as peaceful as you can get in a world where people fight each other with superpowered animals.
But there's yet another group milling about: The Illusion Project. Led by a girl named Mirage, this group is searching for rare Pokémon, trying to find a link to the Mother of Monkind: Mew.
After traveling the region most of the way, the group reaches Cinnabar... where after a few Gym Battles and other stuff, it starts to get really hot... and suddenly, Groudon appears, still mildly irritated from Team Magma's efforts just a year ago.stirring the volcano beneath the island. As hard as it may be, Groudon must be calmed quickly!
After doing just that, the group continues on its normal path... and they hear about a scuffle by Cerulean Cave. Rushing over, it turns out Mirage had awakened Mewtwo... and man, if Mewtwo wasn't pissed. Looks like we have another Legendary to calm down.
After the Mewtwo incident, Mirage promises to change her ways. As the groups part, however, one could almost hear a whisper... one saying, "Damn gullible kids..."
Luckily, we haven't actually specified where in the Pokemon timeline the RP takes place yet. We haven't talked about Pokestar, PWT, or anything else that was in one game that wasn't in a previous game. The only problem I can see is, we have no reason to end up in Kanto at the same time, or even to go there relatively soon.
It's unfortunately looking like the whole "Slice of Life RP" thing won't really work as intended, so straying from that may well be necessary.
Ping? Still here, anyone?
.*Waves hands*
I am.
When I was talking to the game master here, I did have on idea for a Pokémon RP.
I think that'd work for a RP. We then throw in some bad guys who are after the fragments, maybe a goon or two who discovers it and wants more, another bad pokemon Team (or heck, if we want, use Gethis again)
I say we either recrest this RP, or create a brand new one starting with this plotline. Heck, before it we could even do a Tournament Arc at first.
To be all honest, as much as I'd love a slice of life pokemon RP like in the games...they don't really sound all too appealing without a bad guy in the story. Gen 1 was a example of that, there really wasn't a "plot" or anything to it, R Ping it I'm not sure would be interesting.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.Hmm...
Keep the idea in mind, it's something. But we might need to save that for a future arc. We need to start small, then build up to something of that magnitude.
Does Ace have a Pokeball?
Know thyself, and know thy enemy.
All right, thanks, you all. This'll only pick back up once people start posting again, and since I made the most recent post... someone else needs to.
