Why?

That is, the band called Why? As a neurotic fuck, this band speaks to me in ways that no other does, what with the front man's hyper eloquent "Great American Loser" shtick. Alopecia is my favorite album maybe ever, though I acknowledge that this may just be because it pushes literally all of the specific Tilitzd buttons, and isn't anywhere near universally applicable. Just curious to see how many people feel anywhere near the same way. That being said, their new album Mumps, Etc., while I haven't spent much time with it, seems kind of smug and insincere.

I got Eskimo Snow a bit ago and like it pretty good. It's not over-the-top weird or experimental, but it's off-kilter in a way that I can't quite put my finger on.

Eskimo Snow took a few goes for it to grow on me, but I think it's quite solid. I don't have much of an analysis of it yet, since I've only just been won over. I guess the lack of the hip hop vibe and the presence of more uh...happiness (I guess?) put me off, especially after falling in love with and subsequently getting married to Alopecia, which is a swirling, hip hoppy, poignant, bittersweet abyss of self loathing, depression, and neuroses, something of a contrast to Eskimo Snow.
