I think Image Picking has been a little too in love with using comics or other dialogue-reliant pictures as of late. Another problem I've had is that people seem to think that if the caption has to play any role at all in explaining the picture, then the picture's no good. I fail to see the difference in having in-picture dialog explaining the picture and the caption explaining the picture, but I guess I just don't get it.
As far as the current picture goes, if you get it at the right moment, it will show him with a flat hand pushing the mug away, not a curled hand reaching for it. I think that shows it pretty well.
"I fail to see the difference in having in-picture dialog explaining the picture and the caption explaining the picture..."
Not much. Something about donkey hallucinations would complete that.
I like the "what is in this stuff?" expression in the current image. The trope is not just saying "no more for me", a big part of it is why. Current illustrates that well.
v That is good also.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Here it is at wiki size:
^ Pretty good.
^^ Except he is not really hallucinating; (his friend is having some of that same drink and it is turning him into a donkey); and it is not clear whether or not he thinks he is hallucinating.

"[Mother Teresa] was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty." - Christopher HitchensI think that one is perfect. It's got the expression and the "no more" gesture. The current one isn't bad, but I think this one is better.
That works well enough for me.
^^^ Uh, I know he isn't, but thinking that is why he is looking at the mug that way. And it not being clear is why I said the caption could say something about it.

I'm just pointing it out that people who's not familiar with Pinocchio might not get the idea on what he's reacting that way because his "friend" is turning into a donkey.
Perhaps we can change it to a more apparant picture?

Bump...thoughts?
Looks fine to me.
One more bump...if there aren't any serious objections, I'll go ahead and put the pic up. Caption or no?
Hearing nothing, the pic is up and tagged. Locking up.
The pic looks like someone is looking at a mug. It does not show him pushing it aside.
I wonder if even that could be mistaken for reaching for the mug instead though. Personally, I think a comic or webcomic example might be better, since the context and dialogue would make it clearer.
