Someone went to Eurosatory and saw the Airbus Sitrap UAV scale model, which is meant to be marketed against the Bayraktar, the (likely) Predator and Chinese drones that does the same thing.

Looks like the Russians are using the Shahed-136 in Ukraine. I know a couple that were taken down.

Nice photos of the recovered Mohajer-6 drone. Ukrainian Operational Command South is responsible for putting up the photos.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Well Tehran says that we did export drones to Russia, but there’s not enough proof to show our drones are used in Ukraine.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Good news, everyone! All those UFOs from the last however long are really just Chinese surveillance drones!
Let's see what fresh fuckwittery the dolts can contrive to torment themselves with this time.I think I would've preferred aliens.

This is old, but I just read that Skycope Technologies's anti-drone tech may have been funneled to Russia through proxy countries after word got around that it was spotted at Mirea University of Technology.
And MUT's got plans to use it alongside three Chinese drone guns.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Iran showed off the Shahed-238 drone. It's jet-powered.
The Drive mentions why it can be a problem for Ukrainian AA. It mainly talks about the drone having increased speed and quick transit times.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Faster Drones are more dangerous. Harder for anybody on the ground to try and shoot them down manually.
Who watches the watchmen?Jet engines are more vulnerable to heat-seeking missiles.

And heat seeking missiles on a drone are a waste... you spend more on the missile then the drone.
Also you tend to have less ammo capacity then there is drones.
There is a reason that gun-based AA is making a commeback now that drones are taking over the battlefeild.
Theoretically, you can have heat sensors on gun-based AA, if you don't already, no?

Ukraine reported that they're getting 5,000 indig drones in respone to the new Shahed 238s.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"MANPAD (Man Portable Air Defense) and heavier SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense) also tend to have a much smaller window to engage such threats. The faster it moves the smaller the window to engage. That makes it harder for gun-based systems to target them missile systems are faster but some of them are harder to use. Especially very low altitude pop up threats.
Small-scale munitions are one of the promising fields for kinetic intercepts of hostile drone targets.
Then there is this.
Link from the The Drive on an article on a reusable drone munition that is meant to intercept drones and other targets. Small and Jet powered.
Anduril formally announced Roadrunner and Roadrunner-M today, but the company's founder Palmer Luckey, and Chief Strategy Officer Chris Brose spoke about them both at length to The War Zone and other outlets during a media call earlier this week. Though only revealed now, the Roadrunner design, which began as a sketch on a napkin, has been in development for just under two years. Full-sized prototypes have been flight-tested extensively already, including in operationally-representative demonstrations for an unspecified U.S. customer.

Who watches the watchmen?Robert Lansing has an article on a pro-Kremlin supply channel to get Chinese drones/drone parts.
Key Takes-away:
- The Kremlin discredits China by continuing to import components, military equipment, and dual-purpose goods for its international sanctions. It is most likely that Moscow uses military intelligence channels to ensure the purchase of scarce goods and components.
- According to our data, the Chinese-based company Shandong Buyun Aviation Technology Co., Ltd plans to deliver 1,000 drones to Russia.
- The Hong Kong-based trading company SGGI Limited (3/F, Workingston Tower, 78 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, HK), which is most likely connected to Russian intelligence, will handle the order for the manufacture of drones and logistical issues regarding their delivery from the PRC to Russia.
- The disassembled drones will be delivered first to Kazakhstan (via the city of Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous District, PRC), each in a separate case, and then shipped to Russia.
- The delivery scheme indicates that the government of Kazakhstan does not prevent, and likely supports Moscow in creating schemes to tackle sanctions preventing arms supplies to Russia.
- Astana deliberately violates the sanctions regime and export control rules, likely due to the Russians having infiltrated the decision-making system at the highest level.
- Most likely, the agreements relate to the ZT-180 drone model, which is capable of carrying a 35-50 kg payload. The drone seems to be “a close clone” of the Iranian-made Shahed-136 widely used by Russia in Ukraine.
- The similarity of the parameters of Iranian and Chinese drones may indicate that Moscow provides Iranian technology to China to develop similar drones at a favorable price, since Beijing, unlike Tehran, does not have issues with tech components.
- We have no confirmation that the delivery involved participation of the Chinese authorities.
- Most likely, the Russians went directly to the manufacturer and offered a deal through a Hong Kong intermediary firm in the interests of Kazakhstan.
- The deal with Shandong Buyun Aviation Technology Co., Ltd may have been a corrupt bid by Russian intelligence seeking to procure military drones to bypass the Chinese government’s ban. This would allow Moscow to reduce its dependence on Beijing, and intelligence officials to gain profit.

That fate had been sealed since the 70s when a firebee shot down multiple top gun pilots at the same time in simulated combat.
No one just wanted to admit it.
50 years later its undeniable any longer though.
For those that dont know the story a firebee is a cheap target drone, in the 70s an engineer modified one of them slightly and then bet some top gun pilots they couldnt shoot it down if it behaved like a real airplane.
They took this as a challenge and as a graduation exercise went two on one vs the firebee, and lost every single time.
The experiance was described as "Like trying to swat a gnat with a sledgehammer" it couldnt be locked because it was too maneuverable, which also kept it from being brought into gun range either... but it had no such problem vs the manned aircraft which were concerned with such matters such a g-forces.
The responce was the burry the incident to history because admitting that your best fighters piloted by your best pilots, with the advantage of numbers... got there ass kicked by a cheap RC airplane designed to have missiles shot at it.... is an incredibly embaressing look.
