I thought of a couple of directors I like. Joss Whedon for Buffy and Firefly and Baz Luhrmann for William Shakespeares Romeo And Juliet and Moulin Rouge.
Probably Wes Anderson, although it's hard to pick one movie. At the moment Moonrise Kingdom.
"WOOHOO!" - Blur, Song2I'd say Kubrick, but I've only seen two of his movies, and I only truly loved one of them (the other was 2001; sue me).
So Chris Nolan it is, then.
dead devotionAfter having watched four of Andrei Tarkovsky's movies (Andrei Rublev, Solaris, The Mirror and Stalker), I think he might just replace Stanley Kubrick as my new favorite director.

On a totally personal level, probably John Carpenter, but I haven't seen all his movies. Del Toro is working his way up my favorites list though.

And it helps that he's backed by Spielberg most of the time
And we can't forget his partner in crime Bob Gale.
