He loves Windwaker, was great at it, and didn't once blamed any mistake he made on the game. Same with Mario Galaxy.
I've been watching Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 on Retsupurae, and I've got to admit, in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric it looks as if the characters actually do what you want them to most of the time. It may be a little too easy if you pay more attention to your goals than Game Grumps, with more busywork than challenge in the puzzles and battles, but so far the 2006 game has been bouncing between "trivial" and "nigh-impossible" in its missions, which often feel like padding the story rather than fulfilling it. Yikes. At least it led to that song about fighting Silver that I can't stop singing though!
...And I just realized that famous Banana Shoes remix sounds a little like "His World".

Honestly, I'm actually pretty impressed Arin managed to avoid using Self-Destruct by accident this long, especially with in the first move slot. Now, replacing Flamethrower instead of Scratch on the other hand.... :P
Can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out he needs mushrooms to use the move relearner.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.I really wish the Sakura Spirit episodes were longer. Not just because I find the commentary entertaining, but because of the standard 10-11 minute this series has makes it feel like a whole lot of nothing is happening. If they were longer maybe we could get to some sort of semblance of story or something new(and by new I don't mean another girl, theirs too much of those in the plot already).
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013They've done videos longer than 15 minutes before. Why do they restrict most of them to 10 minutes?
They want to pretend it's the old Youtube limit, but they don't want to pretend very hard?
Just wanted to say, there's a Game Grumps/General LP RP over here if anyone is interested
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"It actually has to do with viewer attention spans. Youtube analytics have found that people typically either don't watch videos longer than ~10-15 minutes which affects things like whether those videos are suggested to people, and ad revenue, which is pretty important.
In addition, cutting the videos down to smaller chunks lets them keep a series going for longer, which gives them more time to make new series.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I wouldn't want the Sakura Spirit episodes to be longer than 10 minutes regularly. I enjoy the series, but I can only take so much of it in each sitting.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Maybe that's because the Grumps' silly narrations are annoying?
^^ Oh no, it's not the voices. It's the godawful writing of the game itself.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Today I learned that Pokemon don't evolve in the day care, and every sprite has a little story to tell.
I remember learning Yo Noid was based off a more Japanese game, and yeah, that masked ninja had a card battle that may have been more understandable at first than "pizza-eating". I also read just now that it used the engine of a series called Wagan Land and made more sense in its prototype than in the released version in some ways, such as the spelling of "mayor".
The last time I thought about BurgerTime was Peter Pepper's appearance in Wreck-It Ralph, and now that thumbnail has made me think Nintendo's box art for it makes him look like John C. Reilly. I played the arcade version once, only I knew it used to contain a Pac-Man game because the maze and logo had been burned into the monitor. I don't know which food everyone else considers the scariest, but the sausage got to say "WE ARE CLOSED NOW!" in the live-action commercial and had sharp teeth in the animated commercial.
It occurs to me that Sakura Spirit is basically pornography minus any actual nudity or sex. You know you're in trouble when that's your standard.
Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.Sakura Spirit basically sells its s lf by convincing people it'll totally have really hot sex and porn stuff, and then it has none and is also a pile of garbage.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Oh, and while I think Arin is misinterpreting the Tsundere concept, the game really drives home how incredibly patronizing it is to keep labeling someone you barely know with that for displaying hostility toward you. "No, you don't actually dislike me. You're just acting that way because you secretly think I'm great but are not in control of your emotions."

Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.Arin's interpretation of tsundere as a concept seems pretty spot-on to me. It's all about the guy acting like he knows what the girl really wants, despite her protests. It's horribly unhealthy, and definitely very rapey when it goes into sexual territory.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I just don't think that the part about the guy acting like he knows better and forcing the issue is inherently tied the concept. I get, though, that it promotes that kind of thinking and meshes really badly with the common Dogged Nice Guy partner.
Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.As I understand it, Tsundere is more like when someone clearly likes someone else, but acts hostile towards them as they don't really want to show it. For whatever reason.
It's not specifically rapey, but in the context of the game, where Taco boy has no indication that whatever Tsundere Tyrants real name actually does like him, it's kind of rapey.
(sorry for wrong names, I stopped watching the series a while ago)
@Samename: Maybe. But even that's really uncomfortable for me. Yes, show you love someone by treating them like shit. I'm sure that'll work.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."That would be more a case of treating someone negatively because they make you feel a certain way and you really don't want to admit it because its not something you would be happy about.
Who says they want it to work?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.You can't flip this thing any way that makes it not sound shitty to me.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I think it can work to the extent that "having intimacy and/or anger issues" is a valid character trait to use in a story, but in practical terms I can see that the portrayal tends to promote "no means yes" from one end and "put up with abuse" from the other.
The real point here is that Sakura Spirit sucks and attempts to make the protagonist relatable to the audience make him seem like a complete tool. I suppose that's beating a dead horse, but the series just keeps reminding me of new negative harem cliches that bug me.
