Some shows just creep me out

And I dont mean in a "this show is scary" way. Some shows just have a really fucked up premise or treat something in a wierd way.

Most recently I had this issue trying to watch Maria -|- Holic. The basic premise is this:

A cross-dressing male psychopath abuses, sexually threatens, harasses and psychologicly tortures a teenage lesbian. COMEDY GOLD!

Of course, some shows have dark or disturbing ideas as the premise but they play it well. Welcome to the NHK is about psychologically distrubed individuals but it's self aware of how dark a comedy that makes the show, and it either suggests or outright shows serious repricussions of the actions of the protagonists. This doesnt bother me nearly as much.

I also get creeped out by shows that are clearly nothing but an exhibition of the authors fetish/s, particullarly if it isnt one I share. An example of such would be Seikon no Qwaser.

Am I the only one here are some shows just made on a disturbing premise that gets treated as normal to you guys (and girls) too?

Anyway, Maria Holic is pretty much Dead Baby Comedy. That kind of show is very divisive by their own nature.

Ahh. Sorry, i dont usually post in the Anime forum. I didnt realize negativity was against the rules in here. Over in the On-Topics and Writers Block half the posts and threads are "I suck" "you suck" or "does this suck?" albiet with less blunt phrasing.

For future reference: It's not that we don't allow negativity, it's that threads that are purely to complain about something aren't permitted. Locking up.
