In my story, there are two kind of magic: Arcane Magic and Natural Magic.
Arcane Magic is mana being used in form of spells. It's also known as Spiritual Magic, due to how it connects to the afterlife and the unknown. Harry Potter might fit here.
Natural Magic is mana used to increase one's connection with nature. It's also know and Physical Magic. Katara might fit here.
Mana lies in everything and everyone, living or not. So everyone can become an Arcanus(Arcane Magic user) or a Naturis(Natural Magic users).
Sometimes, a fail in the Mana can be created, originating a being who doesn't "go with the flow". Said being can make magic(both Arcane and Natural) to fail in unexpected ways. My character goes here.
World is not unlike a modern world, with several people trying to harness mana by artificial media.
Now, a bit of my main character, the "glitch":
A simple boy(name's unknown, but his last name's Santana, so he might be Latino) with a father that makes outstanding discoveries about mana control every now and then. The guy's expected to be quite wealthy, yet not a rich brat. Just... he has it easy.
He stumbles into some mana manifestation and his life get endangered. His father's attempt to save him turns him into a glitch.
He can "de-build" a spell(Arcane) or a current(Natural) by touching it with his right hand, which turns out to be a metallic prosthetic hand.
Once it get's de-built, he can manipulate it like if it were a puzzle. He has no damn idea what comes out, though. This will hurt his life.
I need several stuff, starting with the magic system and how can his father's technology screw him so hard.
I'm open to suggestion, because I dunno how to go on from here.
