I know what I need to do now.

Next time i'm home i'm buying a full set of female clothes.

And then i'm gonna march into college wearing them.

I don't care how people react, I need to express who I really am or i'll go insane.

Anyway, I'm stuck in a rut transition wise until I get home. I had a dream last night where I angrily came out as trans in front of loads of people. That was weird.

Why is this thread always so....dead?

I had that problem when I started presenting as female. It might take some time, but soon, I promise, people will start seeing you as the girl you are. It's not something people are used to. :P

Nice, and I hope I can do that at some point.

It's just...I don't want people to think i'm just a crossdressing male.

Anyway, I've been obsessing over terms lately... MTF implies I was ever male to begin with, and that frustrates me because to be honest, i'm not sure if I ever was.....

Also when people say that I "don't count" as female until i've fully transitioned, I get really annoyed.

Use AMAB instead of MTF, maybe? Like I've said before, so much of the terminology is still cisnormative :/

Or just use "trans woman". Personally, MTF doesn't irritate me that much because while I do dislike the implication, I can't deny it's accurate to some degree.

Bluh, I really wish I could come out to my family

Everyone here knows i'm trans, but none of them are making efforts to get the pronouns right. Even when they're directly talking to me. Like literally, they have never used the correct pronouns, not once.

I'm too scared to correct them.

....Part of me feels like misgendering them back, just out of spite.

What are your family like? Because I can understand that it might be difficult to come out in.....certain eviroments.

I have the same problem. Misgendering them back would just cause thorns in peoples' sides. Have you actually asked them to use Female pronouns for you?

I have the same issue with my family, who are the only people in meatspace I am out to. I'm kind of scared to correct them, too.

Well I have asked various people to switch up the pronouns, and they said "OK" and nodded.

However, in practise, none of them have bothered to use the right ones.
