I love superman he is probably one of my favorites superheroes if not my favorite
Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.For us? D'awww.
My arms and back still hurt, so no post for you guys. But in other dealings...
@Mo' Tony Mo' Problems: didn't Coulson work it so Fitz-Simmons had access to the schematics detailing his sickness? Something could come out of that.
Also, Marvel Heroes sent me this image.◊ Beta-Ray Bill is pimpin'.
Jesus Christ, how horrifying.
My various fanfics. Thanks for the link, lucky. It brought some nostalgia about the good days for me.
Superman is my favorite hero too. Depending on the version of course. I think it started when I was first reading comics (back when I was 6 or 7) and I read a story in which the whole world thought Superman had died. It was very well done; in particular I recall one panel showing a Hindu child praying in gratitude for all he had done for humanity. Now, you have to understand, this was all new to me. Not the dying part, but rather that people from all across the world could feel such things for a superhero. I thought they just kicked the bad guys' asses. Which is fun but not really important. Then it dawned on me that Superman probably rescued people from disasters and helped stop wars. How truly wonderful having such a person around would be!
My bias was cemented when I read the Superman novel Miracle Monday, which ironically I bought thinking it was an adaptation of the second Superman movie. Instead, it featured the hero dealing with the Ultimate evil: the Devil himself! Or rather, CW Saturn, its agent on Earth. Close enough. This book is wonderful: it captures the very experience of what it is like to grow up being Superman, and has him defeat the villain by basically saying, "No, I'll never surrender". Highly recommended, folks.
How ironic that the article seems to praise exactly the points the latest movie missed... -_-
Another shitpost from Uncle Tails:

I've also watched Lois & Clark.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyExcellent. I just started rewatching it so I'm particularly gushy about how awesome it is.
Any chance you remember which comic it is?
TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!I can just about remember Lois And Clark, though it wasn't called that in the UK. I saw it when I was a very small kid who didn't comprehend or absorb very much dialogue, but saw enough TV that I caught runs of New Adventures of Superman and Star Trek Voyager.
Go watch it now. It's seriously one of my favorite shows ever and as far as I am concerned one of if not the best portrayal of Clark Kent and Lois Lane ever.

TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Hey, I have limited internet for the next 36 hours or so but yeah, Storm and Fate's helmet is a plot point that should be either resolved soon or.blow up in the worst possible way.
Avatar from http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/7486.htmlLucky: No I don't. It was a reprint of the original (in Spanish to boot). I'm sure if there's an internet article on all the stories in which Superman died in the comics it should be listed. I think in the story he was missing after deflecting a meteor, but don't take my word for it, I was like 6 as I said.
Helm of Fate: How about this: access teleports to Stark's to check on things, meets Storm there, brings her along to help convince a host-to-be to accept, we get a new Dr. Fate, and both our current plotlines get completed.
Sorry if this is terribly cryptic, but the matron is perfectly willing to point them to the right candidate. Just a matter of asking the right question.
Great, I suck at questions. Sano, handle it please!
Also, for no reason other than silly fun, I'm dropping this here: [1]
See, I never got the whole Batman and Captain America comparison. They just don't feel that similar. I've always felt that Batman and Daredevil were better parallel's of each other.

TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!I think that Captain America and Batman are alike because they're both peak human condition. However, I'm afraid I fail to see how any of the characters there really connect. I think it's just rule of cool.

Eh, it's just bugged me ever since I read that DC/Marvel crossover where the comic basically starts ranting on how similar Batman and Captain America are. I've just never seen it.
TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!JLA/Avengers really liked that comparison. I guess it boiled down to "Strategist peak human team leader" which kind of works.
Just the matter of the right question... need to think about this, to not fuck it up.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.No need to overthink it. Just ask for the kind of person Question came looking for.
Yeah, those amalgamations were nonsensical, I just linked them because they were funny (and well drawn.) Btw I'm toying with the idea of an amalgamation of my own for my Marvel-DC timeline (remember that? it got delayed but I'm still working on it): Anthro + The Master of The World! Who and who? Anthro is DC's First Boy on Earth (Cro-Magnon that is) while the Master is a Marvel caveman preserved by an UFO. Since the alien probe was designed to attract a specimen of the smartest species on the planet, it occurred to me that it could be Anthro! (being trapped in a ship for 10,000 years drove him insane, and thus into villainy.) What do you think?
It occurs to me that Black Tarantula isn't doing too well. Poor guy's getting knocked around like a hacky sack. Not an intimidating first impression.

To be fair, Silvermane IS capable of getting into a fist-fight with Superman in this continuity. >.>
My various fanfics.
I just finished watching agents of shield for you guys and I really like it
