Hagure Yuusha no Estetica

i probably would have liked this more had the plot emerged sooner. It was interesting and if a second season gets approved i might watch it. Hopefully it will have more plot and less Akatsuki antics, but seeing as the resident butt monkey joined the group, that may not happen. probably wont be buying this if funi gets the full rights for the show

Akatsuki is just that awesome.

And the Rival hero is voiced by Sasuke Uchiha.

No wonder many thought he was a douche before he was revealed to be evil.

Needs a second season badly. Like soon. As in Fall 2012.

Episode 12: Yet again another cool speech and yet again another adequate fight scene. Some more exposition, some more plot hooks, basically a red carpet for a second season. And so this show ends the way it started: slightly above mediocre.

(Of course, I have to consider that the thick of the plot seems like it only really starts in the return trip to Areizaado)

I would actually like a second season because it looks like it'll be way more fun than what we got (Kaidou and VP tag along, that should be sweet).

Is this show any good?

If you handle tons of fanservice, and a really powerful Main character who's no pushover like most Fanservice laden protagonists, go ahead and watch.

I hate fanservice that is sexist, but I don't mind Eating the Eye Candy if it's done in a way that's respectful of the integrity of the individuals portrayed. Eureka Seven Astral Ocean is an example of fanservice I can handle, and so is Sword Art Online.

Well there's no Anime Anatomy and the main character is basically Goku with intellegence, Ki attacks and all and Master Roshi's perverted nature, although it ends on a big Sequel Hook.

He also gets a Super Sonic Jet bike later.

Goku + Intelligence? Isn't that a bit of a Game-Breaker character?

He pretty much is, though the exception is with the "Big Bad" of the end of the season.

He does the Game-Breaker-ness with style, though.

True, though considering he isn't a regenerating Vampire/ Eldritch Abomination, that much is a given.

There are some DVD/BD specials out under the name Hagure Yuusha no Estetica: Hajirai Ippai...

They're kinda just quick gag episodes but... Man I'm pretty sure the fanservice wasn't this high in the actual series. It's basically distilled. Also, in such bad taste I'm not sure if I can actually take it seriously or if I should be sick.

Just a warning. It may or may not bother you.

I facepalmed the moment I saw the Vice President's plan. It's a kind of looney tunes idea you know can't end well.

No, these specials mostly deal with the female characters donning sexy outfits for semi-contrived yet humorous reasons.

Also, Akatsuki popping up from nowhere as if he's a photoshopped-in cameo from an abridged series, because he's a troll like that.

Ah, sorry, I mixed it up with High School DXD. My mind was not the sharpest at the moment.

Ah. I couldn't watch that one, but this show is somehow not too bad.

It's the one with The Hero wielding Ki Powers returning to our world with the pink-haired daughter of the demon lord who he killed. And he has the power to steal womens' underwear while they're wearing it.

Yeah, I remember.

Well of course Haruka would join! She is the best girl alongside Listy. I still need to finish the anime. Though have the novels been translated and how does the manga compare to both if so?
