Manga: Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya

I do wish we'd seen Miyu get to show off the Gil card a bit more before she got taken over. I was rather hyped to see some action when she equipped it. (The fact that it's a lot less stripperific than some of the previous costumes (even Gil-Angelica's) is a plus.)

And while it's interesting to see the recreation of some of the most iconic fights from the Fate franchise, this version of the Lancelot/Gil encounter felt a little flat, from sheer predictability I suppose.

I do hope that this is just Sakura driven crazy by the Lancelot card and not her actual personality in this world, since this is a level of nutty that the real Sakura's never come close to displaying before.

Well Miyu seemed to believe she was broken even worse than Main universe Sakura, though the Lancelot card likely helped in that as well.

Clearly it was Julians Moon Cell mud, because that stuff will fuck you up. I wouldn't be surprised if she was raised by the Ainsworths and managed to break her.

So the Ainsworths are better at that then Zouken then? Not surprised; they've been rocking the villain role better than the Einzbern's or Wormy Mac-Wormington ever did.

To be fair

Breaking Sakura wasn't really high on Zouken's to do list till he needed her as a pawn...Here Julian seems to have fostered Sakura being obsessed with Shirou... plus Mad enhancement

When you somehow end up doing worse to another human being than freaking Zouken did, you know you are Grade A scum.

That's a damn good point.

Well lets be fair here There is nothing to suggest that Julian and Co sexually abused her... for all we know Sakura in this world is a Homuculus like Beatrice and Angela are implied to be. then again Doll might just refer to having your mind blanked and turned into one of Julian's mininos... though Beatrice's personality quirks seem to imply otherwise.

Its funny that Angela was able to coach the Ainsworth's values in terms that made their actions seem very much the world's screwed Moral judgements can wait till after We've saved it.

and She's straight up abandoned by Beatrice who earlier seemed to resent that Angela ignored her in favor of Erika but is generally unmoved.

but that goes back to the Ainsworth's goal

Angel Notes is upon... WE MUST DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT.

Even if it means dragging the remaining populace into hell. Using people as dolls... even Erika is sacrifical collateral in Julian's eyes.

Julian's smart enough to use a Shirou disguise to wrap Sakura completely around his finger.

Also, looks like Julian will realize Illya is another Grail and kidnap her, thanks to Gil's statement about needing two grails.

Please just kill these guys off already!

Gil's probably the only one who even stands a chance at the moment, and he's chosen to kick back, relax and munch on popcorn. So yeah. No way they're gonna be able to kill them off.

At this point, something is gonna explode and Cards are gonna ran down back on the normal earth to set up the next leg of the series.

Cards covered in Moon Cell mud that drives people crazy.

It would be interesting to see other characters get possessed by cards since I doubt those cards will remain in the Ainsworth world.

I'll be honest and say this arc, and especially the villains, have pretty much killed off my interest on the series. By now I mostly check on the thread to see if there are any news of an endgame.

The gist of the chapter Illya exhaust herself using Excalibur to get rid of alter Servants but they just keep coming... and start pulling out Thier NPS

Miyu continues to be groped by shadow hands while illya nad Kuro are stuck defending Other Shirou and Rin

Illya throws everything she's got into another Excalibur blast and wipes out the Alter servants but one fires off their NP which they can't avoid cause it basically generates a mountain to drop on them... only to be intercepted by a Sword thrown by Tananka from a mile away.

Looks kinda like a Knight Arm...

Apparently the person who usually does the translations has had something come up

But what happened to Berserker Sakura?

Why did she even exist in the first place? I mean the in-universe reason, not some joke reason like ''because they wanted to shove Sakura down our throats?

And how is this all gonna end?

She likely lives with the Ainsworths or something. She knew Shirou, but it's possible the Lancelot Card was too much and overpowered her sanity. Like Gil's card does to scrubs.

Seems she hangs around inside the mud or something.

Well, end of the latest chapter seems to suggest we're getting some Sakura questions answered. I must admit I wasn't expecting this fight to wind down like this, though - I thought it was the final battle already.

Tanaka as a hand-sword. WTF

I don't think it will answer anything about Sakura yet at all, because the person at the end is Angelica as she has twin tails hair.

This talk of fakes, truth, and the world makes me think that whatever the Ainsworth are, it's an existence that Gaia likely views as fake so a sword based upon the world's truth can damage what they're trying to achieve.
