So I got ASB off the Playstation Network store today, since it's release day in NA. I also grabbed the campaign DLC.
It does not seem to recognize the campaign DLC no matter what I do.
Other people appear to be having the same problem with no fix in sight.
Vexing.

Been having the same problem. On the bright side, I've been practicing with Ermes and helping Jolyne go balls deep in everyone... Been playing since I returned home at 2 in the afternoon
I can't help but love the retranslations. Its like duwang but readable and at least somewhat accurant. Even some injokes from the series remained ("How many breads have you eaten" for one)

This Jean Pierre Eiffel bullshit is pissing me off.
And "Everything's coming up Kira!" makes it impossible to take him seriously. The translators got a little meme-happy with this.
Other than that, it's pleasantly campy.

The Campaign data worked just fine for me. Then again I'm in EU as you know.
I smell favouritism on CC 2 and Bamco's part and I don't like it.
I don't mind the goofy as fuck translation though.

Bruno's theme is wonderful, although it's a bit too happy for his character I think.
I feel like some of these themes don't fit their characters too well, or would fit another member of the cast more(Jolyne's theme being a HUGE offender in this lol, although it's still among the best in the game).
Part 1 Dio's theme is a bit weird sounding really, as is Kars. Part 3 DIO's is just perfect though.

Part 1 Dio's theme grew on me.
One of the more liberal translations I actually rather like is Diavolo's second taunt— "I'm not even going to give you enough time to regret that you're dead!" It fits him, I think.

Kira was always just as arrogant as Dio. Also for a guy that wants to be anonymous he sure has a bad habit of shouting his name out a lot. Hell it's the entire reason he lost. He kept ranting about how everything always goes his Yoshikage Kira's way. When Jouske was near him and heard him.

I just got the game, several days before I thought I would. I've only practiced with a couple characters and did the Part 1 story. I'll need another memory card to download Campaign Mode.
I've noticed some typos in the menus' speech balloons that make me cringe. Good thing that I seem to be unusually tolerant of this type of mistake.
Besides lacking a Throw command, mounting a horse seems no different from unmounted characters.
Golden Wind Requiem reminds me of one of DIO's Supers from the other Jojo fighter (must be a genetic thing). It's totally awesome, but the three second charge-up means I can't see myself ever pulling it off.

The best way to pull it off is to have a level 3 meter, use Giorno's "Enjoy having GW punch you across the stage", then while the enemy recovers (I.E: they have the gold aura and doing a pained animation), immediately press the L1 for Requiem. Kars is similar for his Ultimate Life Form via a good combo followed by his QCB + A kick but harder since a savvy for would just use projectiles (P1 Dio's HHA, Joseph's machinegun, even Valentine's pistol or Narancia's Aerosmith) or get in close before the animation finishes (speedy fighters or Bucceralti are especially good at that)

Kars is definitely a reward though. Fucker's is permanent and is pretty effing tough.

In the right hands, they're pretty damn good. Managed to pull a close victory once as Giorno with it and saw a video where a guy managed to beat a very good Esidisi player thanks to Requiem being able to loop between "lolnope" and "mudamudamudamudamuda".
As for Kars, a bit tricky to say. His ULF mode improves his already decent mobility and gives him improved ranged attackd but since it doesn't have a HHA or GHA, you'd likely need to use master combo resets to make great use of it

Probably not that interesting, but I switched the controls for X and R1 because I'm used to how the PS 1 game did things.

So I finally was able to play this. Finished Phantom Blood story mode (both normal version and "another side" version), and tinkered a bit with the campaign mode.
Which I have a hard time understanding what it is about exactly. Got my ass handed to me by some blackmetal version of Johnny even after it got weakened by Stroheim, then had to fight Kira as a boss (and won, barely), and... He lost some health afterwards ? I dunno, I really should have checked some faq before jumping into that stuff.
But hey, at least I had a good laugh when I saw that Will Zepelli's backward dash was his awkward "walking/dancing on water" animation.

Don't know the english name, but it's exactly the same matches, except you're playing as the guy you were fighting before (for example : in the normal version, you play Jonathan as he's fighting Dio, in the other version, you play Dio instead). It doesn't change anything about the story, however.
"Haha ! I, Dio, have kicked your butt, Jotaro !"
And so, Dio was defeated that day...
"What !? No, bullshit !"
