Yeah, that name (and that flavour text ) is way too much hype for a 6-drop 5/5 with a drawback.

At least it doesn't get bounced by whelming wave, and then it... cant attack... Yeah this card is crap.

Well they did just say it hunts gods. The flavor never mentions it succeeding. ^^

Also Kiora getting all cocky about limited fodder. Indeed. I hope Thassa eats her.

Edit: Would that be cannibalism? Thassa being a goddess and from a different plane...

Thassa can shapeshift. Is everything a shapeshifter eats cannibalism or is it just if they eat something of the same form as they are at the time? Deep thoughts.

Calamari is delicious though.

A cycle of common sacrifice enchantments, a couple Strive sorceries, a mana dork and an inspired transmuter.

The thing's not even going to be all that useful against the Eldrazi she's supposedly recruiting things for.

Unless she thinks it would make great Annihilation fodder so she can keep her other stuff alive.

Still not really all that useful even under those circumstances.

Have we now had all of the mythics spoiled? How many rares are left?

Kiora's not looking for Eldrazi counters, is she? I thought that was Gideon's schtick? And maybe Nissa's?

Kiora's from Zendikar. Her stated goal is looking for giant sea creatures (krakens, leviathans, etc) she can call upon later to fight the Eldrazi with because she thinks that's the best way to do it.

Except she apparently decided to start a war with Thassa for giggles. Girl seems easily distracted. I really like Kiora's personality though, at least as far as unlike most of the planeswalkers she actually has one.

Didn't know that. Makes sense that Gideon isn't the only one looking for Eldrazi nuclear deterrence.

Be nice if the two could team up, but given her apparent superiority complex against non-merfolk, I wonder if she's just brush him off and say she doesn't need him.

Doug said something to that effect regarding her low loyalty; it's less untrustworthiness and more easily distracted.

Strength of the Fallen.

Strength of the Fallen looks like a fun card to draft around. On a semi-related note I tried out that golgari dredge deck that is becoming popular in standard and it is very fun to play. The addition of Pharika should make that deck quite powerful when Journey comes out.

Looking through all the previewed cards thus far, I'm getting a hankering to build one of those Enchantment centered decks that Nyx is supposed to make a viable idea. And while I was originally considering WG, with the likes of that late game mind controller and that thing that Kiora wants that I also want, I'm feeling more inclined to go full on WUG.

I'm also considering making a deck like that, but I'm leaning towards W/B, maybe W/B/G. We'll see how it goes, though...

I might build a constellation deck, too. I'm not sure what colors it'll be, though. I thought Esper when I first heard of the mechanic, but when I saw that the card-draw constellation card was green, I started to reconsider.

Nyx Weaver seems good. Also Polukranos is in Banishing Light, which is cool given the lore behind it.
