In before Salad Crisper.

Dunno what this has to do specifically with games, though, since, logically, a tablet is just a really flat computer/an upsized smartphone, and not necessarily focused on gaming. Sure, there will most certainly be tablet games, but I don't know about compatibility with anything you can play on a PC (might have to do with the fact that it's gonna come with the smartphone/tablet-oriented Windows 8, which isn't officially out yet).

if you talking about RT version. then it can only play certain game. i think

but if talking about Pro version. it pretty much can play anything Win7 can play (assuming the hardware is capable)

RT can't play Pro games and vice versa though (unless it's compiled for both)...different CPU architecture and all that...

Love the cover idea though...cover AND keyboard + touchpad? Do want!

That keyboard's gonna be sucky, I'm sure.

^ Awesome use with a tablet while you're out on the street, isn't it?

Aye, aye, tongue planted firmly in cheek and all...ow, too firmly, new dental work...

I'm not much for tablets in general as far as "PC Replacement" thing goes. My Kindle Fire is a nice supplement but I do too many things where accurate keyboarding matters.

[up]x4: It says multitouch, so it has to be at least decent.

I really don't see how this pertains to video games, though.

The Surface Pro is a tempting piece of hardware, but frankly, it's just an evolution of the Tablet PC hardware we've been getting in various forms since the late 1980s. Not really new when you look at it that way.

While I'm glad to hear that version's packing an active pen digitizer of some kind, one critical question remains: Wacom, or N-trig?

(And, yes, we all know-not really directly related to video games. However, some games would play nicely on one. World Of Goo or Crayon Physics, anyone?)
