It's even nicer considering the current chapters aren't exactly action packed. Also, the art seems less clunky in the raws than in the scanlations for some reason… Maybe it's just me…
Is someone following Act-age?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I do like that the challenge is now "act like someone you could not ever be, someone who *wouldn't risk their life for a stranger."
Seems to raise interesting themes.
Issue 12:
Front color: Haikyuu!!
Center color: Yakusoku no Neverland, Hinomaru Zumou
1. One Piece
2. Dr. Stone
3. Kimetsu no Yaiba
4. Saiki Kusuo no Psynan
5. Bokutachi wa Benkyoudekinai
6. Black Clover
7. Boku no Hero Academia
8. Shokugeki no Souma
−. Bozebeats (chapter 6)
−. Act-age (chapter 5)
9. Hunter × Hunter
10. Gintama
11. Seishun Heiki Number One
12. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
13. Robot × Laserbeam
14. Golem Hea|……rts
15. Full Dr|……ive
…You know, as much as I like Bozebeats so far, I'm not sure it'll last very long when there are already 4 big action series going strong (OP, MHA, BC and KNY)… unless it's meant to replace the soon-ending Gintama…
Golem Hearts survived 15 chapters, Full Drive 14. Love Rush's recent record of 13 chapters still holds.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I forgot to mention that next issue will have a Kishibe Rohan story.
…Also, when was the last time two series were axed in the exact same issue?

…Yeah, one consequence of GH and FD being axed is that some series that were safe are now exposed (though Yuragi probably won't be axed anytime soon).
Whoops, you're right.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. They probably won't be axing any more shows until they've found something to fill the spots FD and GH left. Also both Rx L and Yuragi are apparently selling pretty well in the volumes and the latter is even getting an anime adaptation.
Yep. And once Gintama ends, One Piece will be the last WSJ series that didn't start in the 2010's (with H×H). Hell, I think it'll be the last one older than 2014…

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. They need to fill the Saiki slot as well.
I'm thinking 3-4 new series (since Jump caps at 20), and then cut 2 at a time until more series naturally conclude.
I know at least one of the upcoming series is apparently a dark fantasy called Jujutsu Kaisen starring two male leads & it involves cleansing curses with sorcery.
While the other two series are called Noahs Notes & Ziga. All I know is there titles.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Shouldn't they be cleansing curses with jujutsu instead?
…Also, doesn't that step on Bozebeat's toes a little bit?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. Its literally all I know so I really don't know for sure.
I guess it could be more fantasy/less sci-fi but that's an assumption.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Issue 14:
Front color: Jujutsu Kaisen (new series)
Center color: Dr. Stone, Kimetsu no Yaiba (chapter 100), Shokugeki no Souma
1. One Piece
2. Yakusoku no Neverland
3. Haikyuu!!
4. Hunter × Hunter
5. Gintama
6. Black Clover
−. Act-age (chapter 7)
7. Boku no Hero Academia
8. Bokutachi wa Benkyoudekinai
9. BOZEBEATS (first ranking)
10. Seishun Heiki Number One (final chapter)
11. Hinomaru Zumou
12. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
13. Robot × Laserbeam
So yeah, the new series is about "freeing" cursed people, which means killing them. I didn't really like it, but I'll admit it's a pretty gutsy move to have a cliffhanger at the end of the first chapter.
BB is progressing smoothly. There's a little twist in the new chapter too, and a pretty cool new character. Its popularity doesn't seem that great so far, but at least it's not abysmal like it's predecessor's, so I'm willing to believe it has a chance.
I didn't expect SHNO to end already… I don't know if it was axed or not, but at least the ending looked like, well, an ending.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Read the first chapter of the new series....I don't think it will survive. For one, it's another battle shonen, when there's already 4 others.
For the chapter itself, I actually like some stuff. Like how the MC is really damn chill. The artstyle is okay, if a bit generic. I like the grotesque monsters, too. On the other hand, it definitely feels amateurish. Some scenes lack the impact they should have.
I think if Black Clover or Kimetsu no Yaiba didn't exist Bozebeats would be higher ranked. Its a pretty alright series but it has to stand up to two series that are better than it and that's just not fair.
Next week's series and the one after have contrasting dynamics in their promo images. In one, it looks like the male/female characters are partners and having fun. In the other, it looks like the female character is just there to be protected by the male character from some sort of menace.
Eeh, I don't find BC that much better than BB honestly, though it's a bit early to tell. At least Bozebeats definitely had a stronger start − I'm really not sure Black Clover would have performed that well if it had started in 2018.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Black Clover scratches the Naruto itch. Its a dumb mindless shounen.
Naruto was never, not even at its worst as dumb as BC.

10. BOZEBEATS
11. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
12. Shokugeki no Souma
13. Hinomaru Zumou
14. Robot × Laserbeam
Shit's getting real in BB − it seems we have the equivalent of the first villain intrusion in MHA, more or less.
Noah's Notes seems… intriguing. At least the premise is pretty out there: humanity disappeared once 100 000 years ago but was "rebooted" and repeated the exact same events… Now they have 4 years to prevent a new apocalypse and reboot in the year 2022. The art seems pretty solid, but I'm not too fond of the main characters so far. Its survival chances seem higher than last week's new series at least.
…Also, I just realized that Yuragi doesn't have a thread even though We Never Learn does. It's a bit surprising.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I wonder if the reason our heroine isn't initially interested in history is that the loop effect makes history badly taught. Also, I want to see her skill set prove to be useful.
Issue 16:
Front color: Ziga (yet another new series)

…Ouch. Didn't expect Bozebeats to be at the very bottom.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. So, is Ziga a horror manga where they kill off the protagonist's girlfriend in the first chapter, or is this a bait-and-switch for a standard shonen battle series where her losing an arm is the protagonists motivation to become stronger to protect her?
Hey glad that MHA is doing better in the rankings.
Especially above BC cause that's how its supposed to be.
