Polishing the hook, my Novel Dimanagul.

I think I'm finally happy (barring minor grammatical errors) with the first chapter after countless revisions. After fencing with the 'slow start syndrome' I think I've found an acceptable hook that carries the reader to the end of the chapter.

I've posted three chapters total, which likely need a similar face-lift. Feel free to be harsh with critiques; I'm thick skinned.

Note: The documents labeled Original Stories are unrelated Short Stories.

I've got it bookmarked in my browser right now, so I'll try and peck away at it over the next week or so. I can't promise a quick response, but I'll do what I can.
