I was actually planning to go as Ryu for this Con, but I couldn't find a proper Martial Arts shop that sold Karate Gi. There's always Makoto for Girls.

The only thing I would recommend to any cosplayer is to cosplay a character that your overall body type actually has some some degree of resemblenace to.
40 year old fat guys trying to play cosplay 14 year old skinny girls never looks right.

Okay, so Supanova 2012 is coming up on Sunday, and I'm stuck for anime cosplay ideas. Since everyone here is pretty much an expert in anime, I need suggestions for a cheap, simple cosplay. I'm a girl, by the way, but I don't mind cross-play (L, Tamaki Suoh, etc.) :/
