Appropriateness of the subject matter aside, I'm skeptical if teenagers are up to the vocal and dramatic demands of the show. I mean, Eva requires some pretty mean belting.

^ This.
As for the content, while Evita isn't squeaky clean, it's not particularly vulgar and doesn't really have any offensive content. It depends on what sort of restrictions you're working under; you might not be able to get away with it in a school but there's nothing shocking that would make it inappropriate for teenagers on its own. There's basically just language and sex to worry about. You'll really only be concerned about "Good Night and Thank You," "I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You," and "Peron's Latest Flame."
But like Pannic said, I still wouldn't necessarily try it.

The artist formerly known as spasticgeckoAnd if you're talking about, say, a high school performance, the other problem with Evita is that it has only five principle roles (Eva, Che, Peron, Migaldi, the Mistress), and with a high school production you generally want a show with a large ensemble cast to ensure that lots of people get parts. That's why they can get away with a Les Miserables school edition, because virtually everyone is guaranteed a solo.
Do you guys think Evita would be appropriate for a teenage cast to perform? My friends and I were discussing this and I couldn't remember anything terribly wrong with it that couldn't be changed if necessary.
