Aeon Flux is arguably one of the most bizarre cartoons you'll find on the North American side.

Peter Chung, the guy who created the series, is an interesting guy to say the least. He states his opinions rather bluntly.

For instance, he states that Trevor Goodchild is not a villain. If I could, I would ask P.C. what is he supposed to be then, because his actions sure don't help his case!

Chung has also stated that characters should never defined by their families, because it's a trap and prevents them from being characters in their own right. I'm not quite sure what to think about that.

Then again, this guy has also claimed that the very first AF short is a critique on the manipulation of sympathy. I just sit there and think, "Really? 'Cause I just don't see it that way."

All I know for sure is that Chung seemed to be aiming for True Art Is Incomprehensible and his statements seem to be loaded with What Do You Mean, It Wasn't Made on Drugs?!

I think my favorite short was the one where she invades and alien's nest to steal some eggs. The death scene, though cut off, was pretty brutal otherwise.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.
