Yeah, it had both versions of Blue Beetle, and the Atom. Also, it used a combination of both Firestorms.

You know what would be really awesome, but would never happen in a million years? If instead of a GL Corps Green Lantern, we got Alan Scott.

[up]I have a feeling they'd hammer us over the head with the fact that he's gay if that happened.

I wonder how the GL will fight.

Alan Scott is the original Green Lantern, even before Hal Jordan...I'm confused on how it all works out, but basically he's a Green Lantern that isn't part of the Green Lantern Corps. Mythos...I think.

I have a feeling DC might want to start pushing the New 52 canon onto other media and a new game might seem like a good place to start.

I'm open to any pleasant surprises Netherstorm wants to throw our way, of course, but I'm leaning on the cautious side of things for now.

You can't very well push canon in something that is clearly going to have nothing to do with canon.

@ Maridee & Giant: I second those notions.

As for Alan Scott, he's the original Green Lantern, as Calnos said, but he predates the Green Lantern Corps (although I believe he might be an honorary member of the group nonetheless). As such, his source of powers (which works similar enough to the GL rings anyway) was retconned after Crisis on Infinite Earths into coming from some artifact known as the Starheart. He might actually be the strongest person who bears the GL mantle (and possibly one of the strongest beings in the universe, perhaps outclassing even Superman according to Doctor Midnite), but his powers are negated by wood.

[up] Not push, perhaps, but I wouldn't be surprised if aspects of the New 52 made their way into the game.

Outside of some aesthetic stuff, I'm not even sure what any of the major changes are in the New 52. I know that Barbra Gordon is Batgirl again, and that's about all that might be important for a game.

As far as most comic adaptations are concerned, Knightfall seems to be the last thing that's happened. The fact that both Lego Batman and Arkham City featured Hush is something of a miracle.

[up][up] Inorite.

[up] Then again, Knightfall had Bane breaking Batman's back, forcing him to recover as Az-Bats took over. It's a pretty important storyline.

That being said, tons of important things have happened since then, New 52 included.

Considering that he doesn't need to recharge his ring IIRC, I guess it's a fair tradeoff.

[up]I'm pretty sure that Alan had to recharge at first, because he had a short creed said while recharging the ring. Not sure if he needs to charge it now, though.

Yeah, I definitely remember him having a lantern at the beginning, but I don't think he has/needs one post-merger.

I can only think of two games in which Barbara isn't Batgirl (not counting appearances of Oracle without a Batgirl like the Arkham games). A Cassandra Cain cameo in Batman: Dark Vengeance and Cass!Bat again in DC Universe Online, and last I checked she was just an armor vendor in that game. Well, its something. I feel bad for Stephine Brown fans.

@Alan Scott: He's going to be popping up for the first time since the reboot in the next few months.

K Sonik: He's also gay apparently. Yeah...

Bad Wolf: Aside from the Batgirl thing nothing major changed with the GL and Batman continuities.

I know the Justice Society of America no longer exists in the main DC universe. They're now on Earth 2.

Superman isn't married to Lois Lane. He was also the first hero that was officially recognized by the public though Batman operated in secret several years before him.

So I'm watching one of those pre-E3 shows and one of their polls relating to this game had an interesting result. It was what character you wanted to see in Injustice and the final results were as follows:

  • The Joker-43%
  • Green Lantern-13%
  • Aquaman-36%
  • Hawkman-3%
  • Captain Marvel-5%

Wow, I never would have guessed Aquaman had that much support.

You shouldn't be surprised, though. Just look at his latest incarnations. Remember, only his Superfriends version(and parodies of it, heh) were unpopular. His new versions, however... he's an Ensemble Dark Horse now.

[up]Oh I understand that the comic book reading fans would probably support him. However I never expected him to get that much support from the gaming community. I just figured they'd go for the obvious choices (Joke and Green Lantern).

[up][up]People loved Aquaman in Batman: Brave and the Bold and his 52 Reboot version is apparently awesome as well. Honestly, I'm more surprised Hawkman was on the poll.

Well, the BATB version of him showed up enough. Same with Teen Titans. Not sure about comic-wise, but I'm not sure he shows up enough. I don't think he ha a good chance.

Also, I want to see everybody with their alternate versions. Like Red Beetle, Owlman, Red Hood, etc.
