The only time this might ever be relevant:
I'll do you one better
The Silver Age is fucking amazing.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In the comics, there's a murderous Batman who is probably Jason. If Bats takes him down hard, that might drive him over the edge and become The Joker, for several reasons. If I can't be you, I'll be your biggest enemy. I know what it's like to be beaten by the Joker — I'll show you what it's like, etc.
PS. Big hint here: Joker II says Jason was useless, and Damien is contemptible. Hmmmmmm...
Darkseid literally just wants to beat you with one hand behind his back.

Wait, Dick or Tim? Seriously, can't they make THEM playable as themselves?
Wake me up at your own risk.Dic was Nightwing in the the last game, who was dead in the Injustice-verse, and it all spiraled from there.
And yet, they got Ollie in the game, Crane is back and now the Joker. Being dead doesn't stop many.
Wake me up at your own risk.Well that was more to explain the identity swap.
It's the D.C. Universe, death is something you walk off like indigestion.

Regardless, the Joker is still dead. This clown has a different voice and face.
I'm pretty sure it's more like Lost where nobody, not even the writers know whether he's truly alive or dead.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Um... no. He has the same voice actor for sure, and everyone got new faces in this game. Plus, an intro where he fights Batman has him fully admit to being a Scarecrow hallucination, and that he isn't really back.

For the sake of argument, lots of the imply situations that aren't necessarily what's happening in the plot - since all they're really doing it setting up that fight.
For example, Superman and Cyborg have an intro where it looks like Cyborg is having a crisis of conscience and leaving the Regime. And then another one where it looks like Superman is the one having the crisis and leaving.

Injustice the game really gives you the wrong impression on some things.
Like, i watched the Story Mode for Injustice 1 and the way Batman made it sound, Damian murdered Dick and took his identity as Nightwing. That's not really what happened.
Also, it made Luthor seem very heroic but he got Bizarro killed. Bizarro here seemed to be very similar to what I know of him from the DCAU ie. Luthor's moor mentally challenged creation. Yet Luthor has him killed because reasons.
Also, the intros are super not canon.
When the bio, the story details we have, and the character himself says that he's dead, I think I'm going to believe that he's dead.
Speaking of which, if anyone here has an hour to kill:
There's this one that actually made me laugh:
Harley: Oh gee, this ought a be something...
Supermen: "Harley Quinn vs. Superman".
Superman: Tell me something only I would know.
Superman: Two words: Beef Bourgogne.
Superman: (Gasp!) That's impossible!
... lol what?!
It's his favorite meal.
Just his reaction.
The Justice League can't be a death squad.
Way to make the wrong arguments here Bruce.
I love how they gave Barry and Clark the "those were for charity" conversation.
