Yeah, I’ve also seen people shipping Gundam and Gonta. An animal breeder and a bug expert - why the hell not?
I still remain in the Mahiru/Hajime camp, myself. x3
I'm fine with Makoto X Class 78, Hajimex Class 77 and Shuichix Ultimate Academy myself.
Watch SymphogearI’m partial to Kazuichi x Fuyuhiko, myself.
I wonder if Shuichi x Kyoko is a thing.
They interacted in the Talent Develpment Plan; thus, it probably is.
And before you ask, yes, people do ship the two Ultimate Lucky Students together.
Considering what happened in the anime, I'm not surprised they do
Does it really need to be questioned if a character is shipped with another character?
Cause I'm the sure the answer is 99% always gonna be yes.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I’m a weird one when it comes to Danganronpa shipping - most of my favourite ships are pretty unpopular, and my OTP’s in that awkward space between “rarepair” and “mainstream ship”, though it has been picking up steam lately, especially on Tumblr. Let’s just say that I have my reasons for shipping Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko as much as I do (And yes, it has to do with DR 3 and 2.5.)
I also can’t help but notice that male/male ships are way more popular than female/female ones. Although ships like Tsumioda and Tsunami (heh) do have devoted followings, the most popular yuri ship is probably Tenmiko, with Mahiyoko following close behind.
Which... am I the only one who doesn't like Tenko/Himiko? I dunno, it seems like a lot of people seem to love the ship and I just don't see it at all. Tenko and Himiko spend most of their time together with the former being a weird stalker towards the latter, and Himiko only really warms up to her after Tenko dies, and even then it doesn't really come off as anything romantic to me.
As for Mahiru/Hiyoko, I mostly just am a bit weirded out when it takes place during DR 2, since Hiyoko looks all of 12 years old there.
Oh my god, I feel basically the same way about Tenmiko. It’s basically just a lesbian version of Togafuka and Sounia, though it does differ from them in some ways. It’s one of those popular ships that I just don’t like.
I don’t mind Mahiyoko, but I prefer them as really close friends or sisters.

Yeah. A lot of people complain about Tenko hating men but frankly I was more annoyed by her stalking of Himiko than anything so I can't really get behind it as a ship.
I'm moreso bothered by Tenko's man-hating because it comes off less as an actual character trait with a real reason behind it and more like a half-baked running gag that went on for waaaay too long. x3
Both of those aspects of her character bother me quite a bit. I just don’t like Tenko in general. Not even her final moments redeemed her for me.
I wish Tenko and Gonta would interact more. I don't ship them though. (I'm also in the "Tenko is a parody of how Mahiru's detractors saw the latter" camp.)
The problem is there's a fine line between "parody" and "poorly written". And even if you're going to be generous and say that Tenko was written as some kind of parody, a lot of her stuff still comes off as questionable and sloppily-conceived to me.
I think Tenko's poorly written because of her reason for hating men. Did a man wrong her in some way? Was she raised in a society that hates men? Nope, her sensei's just a troll and she was gullible as shit.
It's been 3000 years…There's something I don't get:
In the first game, what happened in that bloody classroom on the 5th floor that Monokuma claims he didn't alter at all?

I believe that was where the Student Council were killed.
Oh God! Natural light! It'd make sense. Personally, the one thing that still kinda confuses me about the first game is Sayaka's choice in victim. Of all the people she could've tried to kill, why one of the student athletes who would be near-guaranteed to be stronger than her, instead of someone she could more easily overpower like Chihiro or Yasuhiro?
Kuwata and Yamada were the most guaranteed to fall for her letter and Yamada's vital organs were harder to hit.
x2 I assumed the whole point was she needed to invite someone who would most likely go to her (well Makoto's) room. I doubt any of the girls and Chihiro (since she would have thought he was a girl at the time) have any interest in visiting her room at night time and some of the guys like Ishimaru and Yamada would definitely go. Kuwata was probably one of the few that would visit, the other potentially being Yasuhiro.
ouch xD. Although I have doubt Yamada would actually visit considering he's only interested in 2D.

I mean... thinking about it if you rule out the girls, Makoto, and Chihiro, that leaves Byakuya, Kiyotaka, Yasuhiro, Mondo, Hifumi, and Leon.
Leon and Mondo would have been strong enough to overpower her (as we saw with the former canonically), and Hifumi, Byakuya, and Kiyotaka would never have gone to her room at night. That kinda just leaves the ditzy, unathletic Yasuhiro as the smartest choice.
Then again she is an idol so that might make her 2D enough for him.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I actually saw a post on tumblr of a Chihiro and Gonta ship.
It makes an odd sense, since Chihiro literally would not swat a mosquito. Perfect(?) match for the bug expert.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.
