As a note: As of the time of contact with hostile forces Shane Miller was a ways back direcly behind the leading three mechs.
And out of curiosity, could I specify a specific type of round for my mortar or do I have to assume generic high explosives? Edit: Im asking because Shane would probably take a less damaging but wider area setup given that the mission objective is just "smash this buildings" and Cuba isnt up to building the same hardened structures as other nations.

While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.Like a fragmentation or chemical round of some sort? Yeah, sure. I had mentioned it for the 30mm, but I don't see why a mortar wouldn't also have the option of using one of the standard types of ammo.
Are the trucks with the rockets moving at all, or are the two lighter vehicles that popped into the middle of our formation the only ones (discounting the aircraft)
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?I was thinking thermobaric sub-munitions.
A shell that disperses thermobaric grenades would destroy any un-reinforced or lightly reinforced small structures over a wide area and damage any large structures while also killing any humans inside or around them.
A target like a warwalker with its heavy armor and sealed cabin would probably just shrug off the big fireballs.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail. What truck with rockets? The rockets are coming from somewhere in the branches (so it's deducable that the source is a bunch of guys who climbed up) so there's just the two trucks driving around, trying to kill your characters. Or do you mean the truck that launched the german rocket pod? That one's certainly not stationary.
Yeah, sure. That seems like something doable.

Can we retroactivly assume thats what Shane is carrying on The Bitch? He hasnt fired the gun yet, after all.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.Yeah, that's okay. It wasn't something that I clearly defined from the get-go, so that's okay.
Oh, by the way, Insano, the rocketry pods are a ground-attack weapon, hence the launching, disassembling, and laser-pointer, but... your character's mech is listed as holding a missile battery, which can hit crap in the air, so problem solved - I'll just assume that was a typo.

Just a notice: I had to figure out how to combine references to at least seven tanks into that last post of mine, so while I'm not saying you all have to coordinate your posts or do an Alpha Strike and shoot everything one at a time, at least try to make it clear what's going on.
Hmm, quick question: Approximately how close would you say Fry is to where that truck just drove out of the forest?
You are reading this.As close as it needs to be. Well... though... the guy driving it probably isn't utterly suicidal, so give it at least thirty feet.

So did a few people drop this?
Never even got started.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Yeah, that's gotta be a bummer. I don't want to force you and Faux to sit on the sidelines forever (and what about those other people who wanted to make characters?), but if most of the first six people to join have vanished, it'll be a pain in the ass to fix things, since that mean something like retconning characters in. Maybe I'll have to wind up rebooting the RP.
I'm here, just trying to think about how I should string my next few actions together. The oxy-incinerator didn't have as much of an effect as I thought it would.
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?You mean, completely destroying a tank wasn't enough?

That wasn't the impression I got XD
Guess I need to read a bit harder then
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Oh, I see, I wrote "before the tank boiled its fuel tank", when I meant, "before the heat boiled its fuel tank*". I guess I could have used a better description than "the third tank", while I'm at it, to indicate it was the third one in your post.

Im around, but I was backing off a bit because i noticed I was more active than the other posters. I check the thread every 12 hours.
UNFORTUNATLY: From Monday to at least Saturday I will be without internet access or even in civilization. So unless something radical comes along, I wont be posting.
I will specify tommorow any specific actions I may need to have my character take in my absence.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.Shane will cover the squad to the best of the D Ms abilities in my absence. He will also refuse to play the broadcast but will gladely and remorslessly level buildings and torch people. His thermobaric mortar rounds have a veyr wide blast radius.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail.Okay, I think I figured out how to fix all the problems we're facing right now: You guys who are posting - just make shit up. Since I don't want to burn a "boss" or tactical encounter when half of the characters aren't going to do anything, we can just wrap this mission up. So assume that there's three under-construction centrifuges (notice that it just happens to be the same number of people who are posting), and the only resistance that will be encountered will be either light trucks with the machine guns in back, guys with RPG's, or guys with RPG's in light trucks with the machine guns in back.
So let's see, how 'bout this: You have forty-eight hours, give or take, so write whatever you can involving your characters blowing stuff up, auto-hit away(if you're bringing NPC soldiers into the world, you can sure as hell destroy them), then head towards the extraction point. After that, we'll enter character interaction time, introduce Faux and Rabbit's characters (hey, do Colonial and the others still want to join?), and then hopefully we'll start the next mission.

And also hopefully all still be alive when I return.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail. The classic revival technique: Give all characters god-mode.
Well played sir.
Your legacy shall drift away, blown into eternity, like the sands of the desert.Well, it's just mooks, and I noticed that people tend to post while I'm at work, so while that's okay for when we have to wait for a half-dozen people to post per "round" of combat, it's not good for plowing through the rest of the mission.
It's getting a bit worrisome that even with carte blanche, no one is posting. Anyone got ideas on what to do?
And that's perfectly fine. There's just a while before your characters have to jump in, so I didn't know if you had anything to add to their backstory. Oh well, that's fine then, I went ahead and added your characters to the roster.
And just a reminder, you can change your weapons any time that your characters aren't on a mission, so don't think it's set in stone.
