I have no idea what is going on in the image. Two guys are high-fiving, the caption mentions air guitar, and this is supposed to be about a fight scene; huh?

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

Well, at least it looks a little too ridiculous for a good fight scene...

It's also a little hard to show with just a still image. Two images to show that the punchee is clearly out of range the entire time might work, though.

Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.

Another Keep Until Better Image Suggested vote — to me, it looks like he's angry and wants to fight, and ends up looking ridiculous.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Or maybe he was trying to deliver a bras d'honneur but can't figure out how to work his other hand?

Well it'd be funnier that way.

A before shot showing Peter...did he dodge or deflect Flash's punch?...either way, a before shot could help.

Fight Scene Done Badly? Dumb article.

Flash shows off his mastery of Air Guitar!

I've seen a slow-motion clip of the sail barge fight in Return of the Jedi where it shows Luke kicking a guy, clearly missing, and the guy falling backwards anyway. It's not a massive failure - I've never noticed it in the movie - but there might be a picture of it that works to illustrate the trope well.

EDIT: Ah, here it is. Pick whichever of four stills you think works best (I lean towards the second one): http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_kick

[up][up] I lean toward a combo of frames 1 and 3 - 1 shows the attack clearly missing, 3 shows the blown reaction.

Luke Skywalker defeats one of Jabba's henchmen using the Jedi power Force kick.

Gah that is like the two-dozenth time I've watchlisted a thread on accident...

I prefer the single frame that's currently on the page, partly because that one doesn't have that flying blue guy in the background.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!
