s a big fan of 80s synth and new wave I stumbled upon this little subgenre by mistake. As it so happens it was a fortunate mistake. I had of course heard Disco music before but I guess it was the more American flavor which had Soul or Funk or whatever influences. Whatever it was, I didn't much care for it.
This electronic type of disco is far more to my liking. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that Giorgio Moroder, who I primarily knew as the guy who helped Phil Oakey make the fantastic "Together in Electric Dreams", was also an important figure in the creation of this type of music.
So I make this topic for dual reasons. One, I am simply curious if anyone else listens to this type of music? Also since I am a novice when it comes to this brand of music I was hoping for some recommendations.
I have found a few artists that I enjoy, such as The Twins and I think Sandra qualifies as euro disco.
I dunno what it is but Germans + Electronic Music is just perfection for me.
