Are they the animation studio the show uses? I've been wondering about that, as this show's animation is some of the best I've ever seen.

Yep. Whereas A:TLA used three different studios, Korra uses only Studio Mir. Best animation I've ever seen in an animated series. Better than most movies too.

I bet they were only able to make the animation so good because the show was originally meant to be a mini-series. Only time will tell if the second season will have good animation.

Mini series are smaller than what Korra originally planed to have.
