I like how 8-bit tunes evolved. Going from jolly, happy, short public domain music, to it's own thing, with some seriousness to boot.

One good example would be from Konami Fiction. They went from this to this.

All of my music is 16-bit 44.1Khz. Why would I want 8-bit music?

Yeah, it's music inspired by old video games

Now Sabrepulse here really makes his stuff using a Gameboy and tracking software, but you can make "Fakebit" with your computer too.
