So why does this console vote lack Wii?

Actually, I'd argue it's not listed because Nintendo has actually outright removed themselves from the war by doing something different. The other three are exactly the same - a graphics and fanboy fight, with differences in available titles.

Since Nintendo isn't even entering the idiot fight, and IIRC, Sony says that they don't see Nintendo as one, they wouldn't be listed.

I know I certainly don't see the Wii as a competing system. I have all four (PS 3, PC, Wii, 360), and I found no point in using the PC aside from exclusive stuff due to cost, was mad at my 360 for only having a handful of titles I care about that I can't get on my PS 3 and not having a free option for Xbox Live (I see no reason to renew my Gold subscription anymore), and I hate the PS 3's unstable PSN connection, but like it better than the other two due to the list of games exclusive to it.

Where was the Wii in the line of thinking that I just described? It wasn't because there's no overlap - I'm nabbing both the PS 4 and the Wii U next generation. It's my intention to have both the 3DS and the Vita as soon as the Vita gets more titles worth my time. I don't see them as competing devices, but I likely won't get the 720 for no reason when I have a PS 4, since it overlaps too much with it unless next generation has all three devices being more... different.

(I'll also note that the home page of that site has the Wii on it, right next to the others.)

I still say they should make more epic games.

right, too many cools games snubbed the wii. arkham asylum, brutal legend, bayonetta, etc.

of course a couple things were in wii's favor.

-the global recession, which pretty much made it the only console & games affordable to most.

-the single console model made it easier for non-techsavy soccer moms to buy, as opposed to the multiple versions of ps360. [imagine the fury of kids on xmas tearihg off the wrapping paper, only to find mom bought the wrong one. "i wanted the 32 gb one, not the 16gb one" "dear, it cost $100 less" "but it can't play Bonestorm XX!" wheras all wiis play all wii games. simple.]

but wii has a TERRIBLE browser.

People actually use console browsers?

Wrong. The thing in the Wii's favor was that it was something new and unique, leading to a LOT of popularity, with motion controls making it more accessible to new gamers and casual players.

That doesn't make what he said wrong though. There were a number of factors to the Wii's success.
