Achilles knew when to shut up. He gently leaned against a wall and waited for someone to say something interesting.

Jack was resting against the wall, tapping his bare feet as he listened to Joey's story. Once he finished, he smiled, showing his sharp teeth:

"Thank you, Joey. I trust our little meetings won't be revealed to anyone else? Oh, and..."

He searched for something in his jacket, pulling out a few spare dollars, and throwing them towards Joey. He stood back up and looked at the sky, groaning. The funny thing about his body was that it was always hot. Never cold, just... hot. He was shirtless and also barefoot in an abandoned alleyway, and it felt like he was standing on the park on a warm Sunday afternoon. He looked at Joey, grinning:

"Do you know where Featherbrains is? You know, that dude that flies around, acting like a bird. All technological. No superpowers. Gotta talk with him."

[WATCH YOURSELF, BOY.] Arguma said, pointing at Isaac. [YOU ARE ON THIN GROUND ALREADY AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.]

Hoping to avoid the situation getting worse, he returned to the matter at hand.

[BACK TO THE QUESTION FROM BEFORE. DO WE KNOW WHETHER VOLT PLANS TO SHUT DOWN THE PRISON BY OVERLOADING THE SYSTEM OR DRAINING IT OUT?]

"I know, Arg. I'll try to control myself." he said, hoping to regain proper discussion. "And it hardly matters what method he'll use, we can't let him get near the power source." He looked around the talb before speaking again.

"Does anyone have a map that tells us where the power source is?" he asked.

At that exact moment, a young man in a pair of ten cakkie's and a white dress-shirt ran into the room, holding a file in his right hand. "Here's your file, Robert," he said, putting it onto the table. The file itself all maps of the of the prison, including where any all outlets would be; the most vulnerable and obvious one looked to be on the first floor.

"You're welcome," Scio replied to Kara's thanks and delivered the telepathic equivalent of a nod. Letting the mental conversation drop off from there, the jaded hero began to scowl as Achilles sauntered in and immediately started to spark a shouting match. With the constant flow of thoughts and emotions coming from every which way, Josh's mind was never truly quiet except when he slept, but although he'd managed to partially cope with it over the years, being in a room full of angry people whom he couldn't tune out was always an unpleasant experience.

Trying to distract himself in vain, Josh mused that he'd never spoken with the only other telepath on the team about anything bordering on personal. The other man's mind was constantly shielded as well, so it was nearly impossible to ferret out any information from his psyche undetected... not that Scio would ever have done that. No Siree. The younger telepath had noticed something over the course of their business relationship, however, that made him very curious. Basic telepathic defenses may have been able to keep a telepath out, but they didn't fully prevent an empath from scanning covertly, and what Josh had found was, putting it mildly, strange.

Matthew Wallace had two different sets of emotions within himself at all times. Not differing fractions of the same mind, as he had sometimes observed in mentally ill citizens, but two entirely separate and independent sources, which implied two separate and independent minds. The peculiar phenomenon was one he'd never encountered before. It was a puzzle, to say the least, and one Josh was keen to solve, but not so much that he would actually ask the other man about it. If his comrade was actually two minds sharing the same body, that was his business, and his alone.

Scio finished his musing just as Isaac asked about the maps. "First floor," he replied easily, flicking the map of the electrical grid over to Devourer as he began examining the main layout, "Here's a question: Is there going to be backup lighting? I don't feel like groping my way through complete darkness."

"Thanks, Jimmy," the mind-reader sent a small message of gratitude to the likely under-paid and over-worked staffer. Deciding to engage the other mind-reader in the room again, he caught his attention. "Medium. What's your exact range, again? I want to make sure we coordinate this right."

Running as fast as her feet could take her, Charity burst into the room; her attempt at looking anywhere near dignified, a failure. It wasn't her fault that her class ran late... okay, maybe it was since she shouldn't have been working on that new virus and certainly shouldn't have been testing it on lab computers but the bright side was that she knew it worked now. It also wasn't her fault that her car broke down... that time.

"Sorry I'm late!" The hacker apologized with a sheepish grin, "Trouble with class and car - completely out of my control."

Clapping her hands together eagerly, a spark between the metal plates of her gloves was both visible and audible.

"So, what are we planning?"

Wildcard leaded through the files that were on the table. " So how positive are you that they're just doing it out of ideology - or for shits and giggles - and have no other motives? It's a lot easier to get what you want when the other guys think you're doing something else - trust me, I know. Any of them got a cousin in lockup? Who are the new inmates?" He paused for a moment as he was distracted by the newcomer " Hey Sparky, have we got a job for you, or what?"

[HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE DO WE EXPECT TO BARGE INTO THIS MEETING LATE?] Arguma asked. It was difficult enough to plan things as it was, it didn't make it easier when new people kept running in when the meeting was, officially, already over.

"We're going up against another electro?!" Charity grinned, "That isn't just up my alley, it's up my street! A street with my name on it!"

Her impulse to hug Wildcard was dampened by Arguma's annoyance. Looking over to the large alien, she didn't want to admit that he scared her a little. Or a lot.

"I'm sorry - I really did try to make it on time!" The hacker protested, "The main delay wasn't even my fault!"

Arguma tried to wave the situation off.

[YOU HAVE ELECTRICAL POWERS, CORRECT?] He asked, then gave Charity a brief summery of what they knew and what had been discussed so far.

[HOW QUICKLY DO YOU THINK YOU COULD RESTORE POWER TO THE PRISON AFTER VOLT SHUTS IT DOWN?]

"Ahem...", muttered Robort, who spoke up in response to Wildcard's question, "maybe, but we're not sure. It's possible that they knew some other superheroes before the Act started who got captured that wound up in the Megalopolis super-prison, but if so, we're not sure who exactly that would be. In any case, you'd better be prepared for the possibly of fighting more then just the four we know of, depending on if the're successful in breaking anyone out. Even if they're unsuccessful in shutting down the prison, I think they can still free a few inmates. Might even have a few in mind, though again, we don't know who."

He ran off. First, a stop at headquarters for a new mask. Then, a visit to little Featherbrains.

"How about this?" Isaac suggested, sliding the map of the grid back towards the others.

"Charity, myself, and one or two more of us disguise ourselves as guards at the prison while the others stake out and keep an eye in the sky and the other entrances. Us on the inside will guard the outlets. Without any specific idea of what's going to happen or how they're teamed up, we need to be both inside and outside of the prison to be prepared for anything."

Isaac hoped they'd agree on doing that. This meeting was going on too long for him, they needed a basic form of a plan, and he needed to eat before the counter-op.

"That sounds like a good plan," Charity nodded - she liked field work, "Also, if I'm on the inside it's much easier for me to try and get the generator working once Volt turns it off, if you want."

"I'd say we flood the place with gas and knock everyone out before they even show up. Give the guards masks and most of the inmates are no longer a threat. With luck, those four'll charge right in and start sucking down air before they realize it. And you," he faced Matthew, "We already know we can punch Strongman, psych the smart guy, and short out Volt, but how are you going to immobilize Lightning? Either that, or we get her," he pointed his cane at Kali, "to turn into a spider."

[THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS LIKE A VIABLE IDEA.] Arguma said. [IF WE KNOCK OUT THE PRISONERS BEFORE MASTER-MINDS TEAM ARRIVES, THEY WILL BE HARD-PRESSED TO HELP THEM ESCAPE.]

He pointed to the entrances that looked like they would be vulnerable to Lightnings speedy entrance.

[WE CAN THEN SET UP SPEED-TRAPS AT THESE POSITIONS TO BLOCK LIGHTNINGS ENTRANCE, WHILE GREMLIN WAITS INSIDE AT A VIABLE OUTLET IN ORDER TO RESTORE POWER TO THE PRISON IF THE REST OF US ARE UNABLE TO STOP VOLT FROM SHUTTING THE POWER DOWN.]

[THE GUARDS CAN THEN EITHER 'PLAY DEAD' OR TAKE UP CONCEALED POSITIONS WHEN THE ATTACK HAPPENS, AND COME TO ONCE THE PRISON BREAKERS HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO GET SURROUNDED.]

[PROVIDED, OF COURSE, THAT THE REST OF US ARE UNABLE TO KEEP THEM FROM GETTING INSIDE IN THE FIRST PLACE.]

"Sounds like a good idea," said Robert, "though keep in mind it won't knock out everyone. Most, yes, but a few of have some sort of immunity. They could be made of stone, or rubber, they might have an outright resistance to gas of any kind, and who knows what else. So just remember that."

Wildcard looked at the papers on Master-Mind as he replied. "I'd assume you have containment procedures for those special cases. If they are immune to gas, they probably just need a pair of cement shoes to discourage running away. If they're actually made of cement, I don't know, but I'm sure you have a clue how to knock them out. Those four are coming in expecting to raise hell, and we need to make sure that nothing goes according to their plan."
