okay I'm back, anyway I can jump back in?
Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing- Wernher von Braun Until proven otherwise, Everything is RelevantWas lurking last night but felt too tired to post coherently. Will do so soon.
Trump delenda est@Space Jawa: The problem is that I didn't think of it at the start; if I did, I would have not done that, and gone with the wrist-watches. But, the RP started before then, and it was only after it began that I realized that government would want some way to easily contact their agents. Thinking about it, I also think the government would have preferred the ear-beeper anyway. It's non-visible, and only those they contact can hear it.
However, I suppose there are those who might have a problem with it, so I must ask; does anyone else beside Space Jawa have a problem with the ear-beeper?

Oh yeah, KH+, I'm going to have Jack go pay one of the street beggars to give him more information about anything that was going to happen, want to play his "information source"?
That'll be fine. Though I'd like to provide his description and personality; he'll still give you the information you need though.

Hmm...anyone have any ideas as to what Featherbrain's hideout should be? a Batave expy won't work since owl's don't live in caves.

Wut?
I do a lot of derogatory nicknaming for Strix. Featherbrains, The Paranoid Protector, The Avian Avenger, That Crazy Birdguy...

A treehouse, obviously. Or failing that, a hollowed out redwood.
...Um, anyways, hopefully I'll get a post in later tonight. >.<
Yes because there's a giant hollowed out redwood within crimestopping distance of the city and a child-ish treehouse is the perfect crimefighting layer.
Abandoned warehouse maybe?
Central Park, duh. And you'd be surprised how well a treehouse works for this kind of thing.
...Either that or a converted old owlery? Just trying to stick with the theme, ahah.
Why don't you just use an abandoned warehouse, but with the insides designed to have an owl's-nest theme? Walls the color of sticks and branches, a large computer trimmed with birch, a painting of a giant owl's head on the floor, etc.
Would our telepaths, being mostly human, be able to mentally communicate with the likes of Arguma, Kali (aliens) and Lucas (bio-robot)? I imagine not, but it's a fairly important detail to know before diving into things.

GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsI really need to introduce Chronus at some point...I had the idea of having him being at a base/hideout but seeing as he has a public identity and his base and home is a massive tower that was previously home to the eccentric owners of two massive companies, he can't really go there as he is known to be breaking the law. Any chance he could be hiding at another anti-reg's hideout?
Second thing I've been thinking about, further based on interaction of characters and background lore; If we need any such companies, possibly using Keller Corp or Axel/Chronus's parents' companies. I have also decided on the nature of his parents' companies; Moran Industries, his father's company, which makes weapons and things like body-armour and Virtus Inc (his mother's last name), which makes technology like computers and music players, both of which were passed down to the second-in-commands of the companies with agreements to leave Axel rich and living in a massive tower.
Chronus could probably hide at Strix's place. Their parents might even have known each other or something. He could either be in Strix's hideout or in some stately manor where J.S. lives when he's not a paranoid vigilante.
That would make sense, in both the knowing and the hiding. It would make more sense for him to be in Strix's hideout, because it's more secret. I'll post if/once you approve this.
@Darksidevoid: You can 'dive in', but you won't be able to automatically understand the language. You'd need to take time to properly translate their thought processes into English, though it can be done.
x5 I think that maybe yes although its hard to say. Lucas doesnt have a "brain" persay but there still are neurons and brain cell in his head, although they have been enhanced by nanotubes to increase thought processes. I think what kkhohoho said will better fit since although he is still carbon based and has organic tissue his thoughts would appear as code with bits of images, but with time you'll be able to understand it.
Although if you try anything funny Ibbie might try put up a "firewall" and block you.

By "dive in" I meant posting in the RP without knowing if my constantly mind-reading character would be able to read their minds. Would have been kinda awkward for me act as if Josh could communicate telepathically with them if it turned out that doing so was impossible.
Anyway, thanks for the clear answers! Time for Scio to arrive fashionably late, I guess.
GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsJust so we get it out of the way, [THE METHOD I'M USING FOR ARGUMA'S SPEECH PATTERN] is only intended to indicated the somewhat metallic/robotic sound of his translator overriding his normal speech, and the all-uppercase isn't intended to mean he's shouting. If he DOES shout or the like, [I'LL BE SURE TO BOLD IT AS WELL.]

Would it be possible to Psychic Static the telepath?
edited 9th May '12 1:03:57 PM by Dblade26
That what happens when Ibbie detects an unwanted connection. Think in computer terms; whenever an unknown program tries to access your computer, the antivirus prevents it from sending and retrieving data unless you allow it. Now at first Ibbie wont notice it, because its new to her and she has never encountered a telepath before (nor have her kind), but if anything significant happens that alerts her then she will try block it out to the best of her abilities.

Oh wow, I'm late to the party. Should I have Windrider jump right in, or wait for a lull?
Life is like a game of Mahjong. Sometimes you need to take risks if you want to come out ahead.
