I doubt that we'll be getting any names from them. I wonder if we'll get a final trailer for when the game is released for consoles.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Wow, a content update this close after the release date? Awesome. I'm guessing Craglorn is in Hammerfell, judging from the architecture.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Even based on the name I would guess that. :P
4227-1763-3232. My 3DS Friend code.Honestly this game isn't bad. And it's very, very hard to stop playing once you start.
So basically not nearly as bad as its detractors were making it out to be. Would you say it's basically like an Elder Scrolls game?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Combat is like an Elder Scroll game with MMO like "abilities". These are tied to your class (with three skill trees) or the weapon you are using (I'm dual wielding right now) and some NPC guilds also give you useful skills (Fighter's Guild tree has a lot of skills that do lots of damage against undead and werewolves). There is still a lot of motion involved, unlike World Of Warcraft-style tab and lock-on combat. You only have slots for 5 skills, one ultimate skill, and a consumable item.
As far as I'm aware (I'm only lvl 10 right now) questing is more exploration based than hub based (like, go to settlment, pick up 3-4 quests, do them all, repeat). You can get a good bit of experience just from exploring and clearing out places where no quests are involved.
As for value, my value-for-price impression is a bit skewed since I used a 20% off GMG coupon to buy it. Honestly, I don't begrudge the subscription model. Better the subscription than rampant monetization like with LOTRO, plus you can also be fairly certain that the creative team will continue giving a shit about the game. Still, I find it roughly as enjoyable to play as Skyrim (with the bonus of having other people around to play with) and just as difficult to put down. Need to stop playing until three in the morning...
Also, the enemies seem pretty smart (and much smarter than the ones in Oblivion or Skyrim), especially the sapient ones.

I heard you don't get to be an Imperial or support the Legion though.
Oh really when? You can be an Imperial with a certain type of preorder (which I personally think is kind of a rip off, but whatevz), and another, cheaper, preorder lets you play any race on any faction; which I think is pretty fair. As for the Legion... Well, the Imperial City is being run by Deadra atm so I'm not sure you want to.
The most edgy person on the Internet.Screw it, I'm a Legionnaire until I die. I wanna be an Imperial.
Oh really when?Well you don't have the Imperial Edition, so eh :P
Either way I wonder if it's possible to get Legion armor as loot?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Imperials are pre-order only for now eh? Wouldn't surprise me if they offer them up as DLC in about a year or so.
Not dead, just feeling like it.No, they're not preorder only. Imperial edition costs extra (20 bucks extra for digital only version), but. I bought it anyways because of that GMG coupon (which expired on Monday, sorry) because, damnit, Legion now and forever. Spent 64 bucks instead of 80. The physical version of Imperial Edition costs more than the digital download version, and it comes with some physical trinkets, a statue, etc.
You can also upgrade to Imperial edition at any time.
One frustration I have with the game is that there is no dressing room to preview gear. Actually, I'm not sure how itemization works here, compared to games like World Of Warcraft or SWTOR that have endgame sets).
I think I like it more than Final Fantasy 14, which was a waste of 50 bucks.

Just went and bought standard edition, tried to get Imperial but the nearest store that has it in stock is 70 miles away. Currently updating via ol' BETA launcher.
Ended up getting Explorer's Pack because the store had surplus.
Not dead, just feeling like it.How is it for you?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.A slow download.
But as for gameplay, I liked it. It took some getting used to. As I've said before, it's not Skyrim, it's more akin to Morrowind.
A lot was fixed between when I first joined the BETA and t'wards the end of the BETA, many fewer bugs, and computer voices. No more KAZITE people, only Khajiit.
While I am annoyed to subtle changes of lore on the rare occasion (not counting the ''transcription error') but they flesh out a lot and I found it actually rather interesting.
Being able to see races and areas never before shown but talked about is quite the novel experience. And from what I've seen and heard you can get quite immersed, mind sometimes with effort as it is an MMO.
It's different where it needs to be as an MMO, crafting, having to group for things. And while it can be annoying I'd give the game a try before discrediting it fully.

Not dead, just feeling like it.So I've spent the last few hours trying to play it. And geez I can not get into it. I don't know what it is about this games graphics but I can't focus on anything in front of me. It makes walking around a choir because I have to pause, wait for the textures to load, find out I'm not at the proper location and then continue.
I tried to have a sword fight with some random assassin only for the assassin to get caught on scenery multiple times and run through me at least 3 times.
For whatever reason it seems that the restoration staff is no longer a weapon one can get in the tutorial and as a result my healer character has more skill with destruction than anything else.
I can't remember a single NPC's name, heck I don't even know my queen's name! Wait, I take that back I did run into one memorable character, Razum-Dar but that's just because I remember from the BETA where he was voiced by a robot.
I've the feeling I could like this game. But by God it's not making it easy. If it doesn't become more tolerable by my 30 day's end than I'll cancel my subscription.
Not dead, just feeling like it.Finally hit lvl 16, am moving on to the next zone (jeez, that took a while). I've run into a few bugs, including a bad one where NP Cs just don't show up (this is particularly bad when the NPC in question is an enemy). I took that as a sign to stop playing for the night.
Still having a lot of fun, though. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface.
Wait, did he make a new video on it? O_o Or am I remembering wrong him doing review before?
Those were "previews" (initial impressions, essentially). This is for the finished product.
So many ingredients.
So few recipes telling me what to do with them!

so who are the champions of the various alliances? Do they have names? Backstories? It seems odd that I can't find any info on them.
