Oh right, forgot they spoke piggy. I had noticed it after a while.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I'm disappointed at lack of real Mr. Dark
...What? I like that guy's hat.
And now I'm nitpicking again: The fairies and the magician speak pig latin. The Bubble Dreamer speaks what I call "bubblish": He says all of the words recognizably, but he sort of gurgles them and ads a lot of superfluous "b"-sounds, which makes him sound, er, bubbly. And the Lums have their own language, which is sometimes recognizable (they say "OK!" and a few French terms, like "glou glou," which is a gurgling sound), and othertimes it's just happy nonsense. And I believe the Kings speak igpay as well.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaBasically, Rayman language is far more complicated than most people think.
...Never thought I'd say that.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.Well in the previous games Rayman and everyone else spoke French (or English, I was referring to France, the country where most of Ubisoft's stuff is made).
If this and Epic Mickey 2 are any indication, people apparently don't like the Banjo-Kazooie-esque language and prefer if they spoke something that they could understand or have no voices at all.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!Actually, the Bubble dreamer speaks a language called "ubbi dubbi", which is spoken by adding ub before each vowel sound(except silent vowels).
...I learned something today.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaDidn't the nymphs in Origins speak Pig Latin as well?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYes they did. I'm not clear how Murfy was speaking though, it didn't sound like Pig Latin or Ubbi Dubbi.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!Murfy doesn't get many lines, so it's kinda hard to tell.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaWhich is wierd, because when Murfy shows up in previous games, he's really talkitive.
Also, feast your eyes on this awesome image◊!
Well, he has a lot of lines, to be sure, but in Rayman 2, he always speaks in a whisper!
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIs it just my imagination, or are the promoters focusing more on MURFY then BETILLA (or nymphs in general)?
Seriously, who cares about Murphy? they gave him the most annoying role in Origins, while the Nymphs served a much more important purpose... but all the promotional art has Murfy instead of Betilla, despite the fact that Betilla's supposed to be a playable character -_-
EDIT: Okay what. MURFY is playable? Seriously? He can fly... so he'll either be a Game Breaker or an example of Gameplay-Story Segregation...
Well, i shouldnt complain, the game isn't out yet, after all!

I take it you haven't played Rayman 2 or 3? Murfy pops up a lot in both of those, and can be quite annoying in 3.
From what I saw, Murfy is going to be vital to getting across levels. Only time will tell how much he'll break the game, but look up any Legends footage and tell me how we're supposed to progress through areas without him?
Also, nobody is exactly sure that the viking chick is Betilla, despite both looking similar. I'm convinced that she is though.

"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!Those areas where Murfy is required will probably be areas exclusive to the Wii U. If this is even going to be multiplatform.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.BADASS VIKING NYMPH IS BADASS.
Yeah, I know, all the characters play the same and are just reskins (except for Murfy, obviously), but still, she looks wicked. Love the Valkyrie hat.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaLotta Murfy in this one. Some new areas near the end plus the official boxart.
Here are some IGN guys playing and sucking at the game
Apparently the guy with the gamepad can switch between 'Murfy mode' and normal platforming gameplay.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWii U exclusive? Aw, nertz.
It's a good thing I was planning on getting a Wii U anyways.
Whoever plays Murfy better be real damn cooperative, because otherwise, they're gonna dick everyone else over so bad.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaBarbara is such a BAMF.
We've got a new gameplay video from Gametrailers that shows off 2 new levels: One showing the little furry toothy creatures from the first trailer, and another Platforming Hero level, this time with orchestral music(which I absolutely love)!
I think I'm in love with this game.
There was always voice acting! It was just in Igpay Atinlay or "bubblish."
But yeah, that bonus room was super DKC, agreed there.
