Is this a decent summary for a parody?

"The power of love is shunned by the jaded and bitter and desired by the envious. A potent force that cripples the powerful, it transforms the weak into heroes. A humorous tale of jealousy, heroics, and a princess "escorted" from one castle to another."

Depends. How serious is this parody supposed to be? I know that they don't always have to be comedic, but at a base level this sounds a bit on the dark side. (I notice that you have "humorous" in the description, but I figured I'd ask.)

Also, it seems a bit wordy in places — like you could stand to trim it down. If it were up to me, I'd probably make it look like this:

"Love — shunned by the cynical and desired by the covetous. A force that cripples, yet transforms in kind. A humorous tale of jealousy, heroics, and a princess' 'escort.'"

That's just one possibility, of course. It depends on the content of your parody. And on that note, I have to ask: is this all the information you want to reveal in this line? As in, when I think of summaries, I think of a brief description of some of the events that'll happen. Like "A knight armed with a magic sword embarks on a quest to slay a dragon." Here you've got some of the themes at play, but not much in terms of actual happenings...not that that's a bad thing, but it's just something I thought I'd bring up.

Hope that helps you out. Good luck to you.

Well, it has small bits of Scott Pilgrim and Super Mario, but most of it is original. I'm calling it a parody because it's not your typical romance story, hence the first chapter.
