Ambiguous Name: Rey Mysterio Jr

This name is not so much ambiguous as non indicative and out of date. His wrestling name is Rey Mysterio and he is the only one that has ever been known by that name. He has an uncle named Rey Misterio and when he began he went by Rey Misterio Jr. when he went to WCW they changed his name to the copyrightable Rey Mysterio Jr. despite there never being a Rey Mysterio Sr. and when he went to the WWE they corrected the error. The current page title is uses the error name that was used for a few years in WCW which he used for the shortest time of the 3 and not the name he was known as for the last decade Rey Mysterio which it should be.

In luchadore tradition when you loose your mask you are not allowed to wrestle under that name anymore. Rey lost his mask in WCW in a tag team match against Nash and hall.

They found a loophole with the JR.

So in short, the JR is very important to the name.

I think it was decided somewhere that for Wrestler's names, we use the one they first got regonition for. For example, Daniel Bryan is most famous for that name, but his article name is Bryan Danielson because that is the name he debuted as, so that is what his name is. This is espeisically true as in Professional Wrestling the amount of gimmick changes and name changes just makes things impractical to keep changing them.

So, vote against changing.
