I just got Parker Lewis Can't Lose on dvd, so naturally I'm going through the three seasons like there's no tomorrow.

Ican hear you think: Who the hell is this Parker Lewis-guy and why should I care?

Well Parker Lewis is old, like early nineties old, when they still had videotapes and you could still get away with a couple of happily married parents. The show has fallen into utter and complete obscurity with the passage of time, and it's not something of a cult-classic.

So this isn't a thread on the awesomeness of Parker Lewis, but about the awesomeness of really old, really obscure shows, that are still pretty fun to watch.

We've all seen Twin Peaks, the Prisoner is old hat. We've seen Emma Peel strut her stuff, so let's talk about the stuff not a whole lot of people seem to remember these days.

Well, Parker Lewis is Ferris Bueller. With a bit (okay, a lot) of Zack Morris thrown in. ..yeah, that show is insufferable.

I was a fan of Hang Time. Remember that? The all-white basketball team? grin

There were a slew of Saved By the Bell clones in the mid to late nineties.

I also loved Blossum, until Joey "Whoa!" Lawrence decided he was going to be the next John Stamos.

I'm a skeptical squirrel

One of my favorite, weird obscure shows from the 80s was Otherworld . Sort of a cool concept for its day, but it didn't last too long.
