Except for the fact that Pikmin wouldn't have been a surprise if they announced it at the event. They've literally been promising it for years.
And Nintendo does not always give away what they're announcing. 2010's show was mostly surprise game announcements from them, and while last year was more focused on hardware, we still got a surprise game in the form of Luigi's Mansion 2.
i thought pikmin 3 wii u already announced last year
That's not acceptable either.
While it's true Nintendo has promised the game for years whether it would see the light of day was in doubt. Even when I know something will come eventually, I'd still rather not know exactly when, get what I'm saying?

Sony fan here.No. Not in the slightest.
Well, that's a shame.
Sony fan here.I'm gonna have to agree with Bad Wolf on this. I was really terrified for a long time that Pikmin 3 would be cancelled or left in development hell until the ninth generation started up. I'm really happy they announced it again.
Personally, I'm holding out for the sequel to Donkey Kong Country Returns.
I'd love for more info on Luigi's Mansion 2, Paper Mario 3DS, Pikmin 3 and Playstation All Stars, but would also like to see Pokémon Conquest, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Borderlands 2, Last of Us, GOW IV, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Theatrythm: Final Fantasy and Project XZone, even though many of them probably won't show.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! We never see Pokemon at e3
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them. You'll probably see Borderlands 2 there. Can't vouch much for the others, but I couldn't even begin to tell you when they showed a Pokemon game at E3 (spin-off or otherwise).
But see, think how much better the news would have been if Pikmin 3 was reannounced at E3 followed by a debut trailer and a demo.
Sony fan here.Again, this is not something that is a surprise to anyone. We've known for years that Miyamoto was working on Pikmin 3. Most people had already figured out that it would be a Wii U launch title even before last year, when we were basically told that we'd be seeing it on the system.
I don't see the big deal with showing your hand before you play it. I mean, we've known for a while now that Pikmin 3's coming. But we have no idea what it'll look like.
Ideally, it just be like the first two, only shiny and newer. But Nintendo is always in position to throw a curveball in both visuals and gameplay.
I hope Retro gets put on a new series. They do such good jobs revitalizing old franchises. I wanna see them tackle Zelda.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally! So does Miyamoto.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Well, we know Retro's working on something. Whatever it is, I'll be behind them in it!
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaRetro is the new Rare.
Actually, I wish that Retro could tackle some of Rare's I Ps like Jet Force Gemini or Banjo Kazooie. But that will only happen if Rare gives em the rights (Highly Unlikely).
And my favorite Rare IP has no chance of seeing light ever again...

I'm having to learn to pay the priceEspecially because they're owned by rival companies. :/
I know.
With Rare doomed to make party games, all of their glory day work is going to fade to dust...
Even if the Goldeneye copyright was given to Activision :s

I'm having to learn to pay the priceThe only reason that could probably even happen is because it was a license.
Alas...
That was my Wishful Thinking.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceBanjo kazooie's not doing anything for Microsoft, they could probably make a pretty penny selling it to Nintendo.
Or maybe Retro is making Pikmin! That'd be cool!
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!I wish Retro was allowed to do dang original game instead of doing new games for old games
Again, I'm hoping for a new Donkey Kong Country game from Retro.
It's not just Sony that's revealing all their aces but Nintendo as well. Pikmin 3 would have made such a great surprise announcement at E3 but instead they decide to give the information to us early... just like they do every year.
Don't you just hate it when you know what to expect from the event?
Sony fan here.
