Having amnesia means they have brain damage, so they certainly should be sent to a hospital right away, though I could see that possibly not happening if the school faculty is established as incompetent/unattentive.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoAmnesia doesn't happen much, I don't think. But if the nurses don't know that they have amnesia, and they otherwise seem fine, I don't think it would be all that lax to have them stay.
Be not afraid...Depends on the severity of the hitting of head.
If it was a discuss, its time to get an ambulance.
If it was a frizbee, its time to see what the student was trying to get an excuse for.
Okay, I figured it out. I've tweaked the concept. The reason the kids are going to be in the school is because they are in the student council and are staying the night to work on prom. The main character hits his head and gets amnesia, but since there are only like 15 students, one teacher, and the vice principal, it isn't known.
If he is clearly mentally disordered after a brain trauma. No nurse worth her salt is going to tell him to Walk It Off. But if it wasn't something clearly serious I could she her dismissing him as putting it on to get out of school.

Question for anyone who might know.
If a student hit their head on school property, and don't seem to be in any pain, but they have amnesia upon waking up, would it be too lax to keep them in school that day?
