Recently, i tried an IOS port for Po P: Warriors Within. What surprised me is that it wasn't watered down, it was an actual port. The full fucking game on an I Pad. Sure it didn't run extremely smooth, but it was still a shock for me.

Anyways, what do you think? Are there IOS ports that actually work, or do all of them suck Apple?

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.

rRootage is pretty good if you like Bullet Hell. It's free too.

I was surprised it controlled so well, you just need to have your thumb positioned in just the right position that it's not covering your hitbox.

Ipad's are pretty powerful, the real problem is the control scheme. That's what makes a few games trip up in being a good iOS port.

I know Corpse Party has an iOS port which I doubt would really have many differences from the PSP version, but it's only in Japanese. Available in the American Apple market though, if you feel like spending 5 dollars more for a game that's been localized on another system already.

I also recall Grand Theft Auto 3 getting an iOS port.

GTA 3 port is already out...there's also port of first Max Payne...haven't played it though...

Some DS games also got ported there...Touch Detective, Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney (currently first only, the collection of first 3 games should come out later...

And anyone here played FFT on the PSP? How bad is the slowdown on the iOS compared to the PSP?

Oh yes, FF 3 got a port too. It actually looks better than the DS version, so if you don't own that game and don't mind the touch controls (which shouldn't be a big deal for a Turn Based RPG) then it's a great version. Of course if you DO own it, the sharper graphics seem to be the only real bonus. I wonder if you can still unlock the Onion Knight Class in that.
