Apparently the image is supposed to depict her in Hell, but I'm not getting that at all. I feel we could definitely do better than this.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.
That's a pretty bad picture. Low quality, and it doesn't show that it's hell, and it's hardly apparent that she's a Pollyanna either.
Motion to pull.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
Anime-tedNot really...it definitely fits something, but I don't think it's this trope, not with just the character and no other context.
Fallen PaladinKeep until better image is suggested. This trope has a history of bad images; the current one is at least decent.
You always take us with you when you go
Cure CandyA panel or two of Kafuka from Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei? (needs flipping and some of the smaller images in links would need some cropping (the latter I can do) they are normally much bigger.) we can move some text around too. ◊ ◊ ◊

A pocketful of saudade.
I like it.
Special trousers. Very heroic.
Anime-tedThat's pretty good. The single panel of her with the trashcan is good too.
LOYALTYThey're both good, but the trashcan one is far more succinct.
A pocketful of saudade.Yeah, huh. The "growing taller" comic's got one of those mangatastic "busy scene" syndrome. (Negima is particularly bad about that.) I... Don't get that trashcan panel though.

Anime-tedI don't remember the exact context of that scene, but she's trying to put a shiny spin on a full garbage can...it's pretty self-explanatory.
Cure CandyThe trash an does not show that she has gone though a lot of crap though (one of the big things about this trope.) If Stepford Smiller is wearing a Happy mask The Pollyanna is someone who basically Is The Mask, anything bad happens they deny it or put a happy spin on it.... Nothing is ever bad to them. (Some are stupid, some it's a coping mechanism but they really think that etc.) The four panel does the deny, Happy spin and backstory. The can does just the spin. The current image shows Nothing

I prefer the current pic. The comic suggestions are too wordy and could be mistaken for Cloud Cuckoolander.
There's Robot from Gunnerkrigg Court Here in the last two panels, the dialogue is good, though the accompanying images aren't the greatest fit.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.
Anime-tedI actually like the dialogue from that better than the current quote.
A pocketful of saudade.Speaking of the current quote, I tried to trace the source to LXE, but it's no good. Truly is better as a quote.
Anime-tedPre-weekend bump for votes; the leader's the only one in the green.
Anime-tedWith the crowner as it is, and being one day away from a week old, I think we can call this. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged; caption or no?
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
