OFT.
It was an honorI'm a Christian and I get annoyed, when people thank God and seemingly don't give thanks to the actual person who helped them. God is the source of all, so yes, he really is the one to thank. But you cannot ignore the people God sends your way to help you.
In short, by not expressing gratitude to the actual doctor who saved your life, you are, in effect, being ungrateful to God himself.
Shima, I would be very interested in you explaining where you got it from that the people who let that transperson die did so either because they were Christian or held Christian beliefs.
Because based on the available evidence, there's absolutely no evidence of that. If that is the case, then at best, you spoke foolishly without any regard to how offensive that is; and at worst, you just displayed what can only be classified, by the rules you and the other mods have laid down, as rank bigotry.
That's not something that can be allowed to slide.
It was an honorCursory google search reveals the name Tyra Hunter.
I found a few sources of this, but not enough to feel completely certain in my statement.
You know, you can report him if he seems to be breaking the rules.

‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.Report a Mod to the Mods?? Not likely. And Shima is a woman, to the best of my knowledge.
And this isn't about getting anybody thumped. I've always said I expect us all to play by the same rules. If I can't make baseless statements that offend on a mere hunch, I expect the people who make those very rules, to do the same.
EDIT: Very true. They don't look at it as God blessing humanity with scientific knowledge.

It was an honorMaxima are you offended someone would speak without regard for how offensive what they say is?
X5 I think reporting a mod is a bit pointless.

It's very possible.
Maybe you were meant to die to fulfill some higher purpose.
Who knows better than God?*
You should know me better by now. I'm no hypocrite, just as I do my best to not cause offense, but will not yield on matters of truth or faith or principles, I can tolerate someone who does the same with their viewpoint. Hell, I respect that.
But when a Moderator of all people, one as adored as Shima is, crosses a line they forbid others from crossing, you need to expect I'm going to say something.
If someone had linked to some news story about two women being found murdered and the killer was one of the boyfriends of the victims, and I said "Obviously they were having a lesbian affair, and the boyfriend found out and killed them," and there was no such indication of any such thing, my TV Tropes account would cease to exist.
That someone can take some stomach-churning thing like a person being left to die like some animal and throwing Christianity into it without any kind of proof is reprehensible.

Re: Faith Healing
It really depends... If we're talking about a person who exercises and eats properly - then yeah - I think praying may be helpful (medical-wise), especially since believing in something is a lot like positive thinking. There's scientific proof and stuff that prayer and mediation has health benefits. Can't remember the details of what I read, but I remember thinking that their effect is comparable to placebos.
Then, there's that big psychological oomph we get from being part of a community, especially if it's a community that we -think- is superior to others.
But of course, medicine is better. And exercise and eating well. Not to mention surgery. We certainly didn't wait to take Pope John Paul II to a hospital when he got shot.
If the faith healer is really about faith and prayer and mediation, I'm OK. But when (too much) money is involved, it's probably a scam.
